SMASH Celebrates 15th Anniversary with Fancon, Full of Nostalgia with Fans

Indonesian boyband SMASH celebrated their 15th anniversary with their loyal fans, Smashblast, at a fan concert titled “Everla15ting: 15th Anniversary SMASH” in Jakarta, on Sunday (April 13, 2025). Uniquely, the entire event was initiated and organized by the fans themselves as a heartfelt tribute to the five SMASH members: Rafael, Bisma, Reza, Dicky, and Ilham.

Rafael shared his excitement and nervousness about participating in a concert made entirely by fans.
“Smashblast organized this whole event to celebrate our 15 years together. I was nervous because we were performing songs we hadn’t sung in a long time,” Rafael said.

Bisma also expressed his joy, saying that celebrating the anniversary in such an intimate way made it even more special.
“I’m really happy. The tickets sold out so fast, and for us, it felt more personal. I didn’t want to cry, but I hope I can hold back the tears,” he said with a laugh.

However, Bisma’s vow not to cry quickly broke when a touching VCR made by Smashblast opened the event, bringing tears to the members’ eyes.

SMASH performed several of their hit songs, including “Selalu Bersama”, “Fenomena”, “Selalu Tentang Kamu”, “Senyum Semangat”, and “I Heart You”. During a Q&A session, their iconic drama “Cinta Cenat Cenut” also became a highlight of the night.

“We had so many experiences back then. We barely had time to rest. If we could sleep in the car, we did. Especially when we were touring out of town—it was intense,” Bisma recalled.
Rafael even reenacted some scenes from the drama, bringing laughter and nostalgia to both fans and members.

One of the most touching moments came when Bisma shared a story about meeting a Smashblast fan in Banten.
“We had no idea where we were going, but it turned out we were meeting a fan who listened to ‘Senyum Semangat’ every day on the way to school. She had to carry her friend who couldn’t walk. That moment made us realize how our songs can truly impact lives,” Bisma said.
He added, “We used to be bullied, but it turns out our work actually brought meaning to others.”

Toward the end of the fancon, emotions overflowed once more as Smashblast surprised the group by bringing out someone who played a key role in SMASH’s early days. The members couldn’t hold back their tears on stage.

“We should be the ones thanking Smashblast. This was all your initiative, and we honestly don’t know how to repay you,” Rafael said with heartfelt gratitude.
