In Indonesia, Spotify revealed how local listeners enjoyed the music and podcasts that colored their year through the ‘Spotify Wrapped Live Indonesia 2025’ event. Broadcast live on December 4, 2025 on RCTI, GTV, and RCTI+, the event announced the highly anticipated top artists and creators in Indonesia.
Now in its third year, Spotify Wrapped Live Indonesia 2025 featured captivating performances from a lineup of local and international artists, including no na, Mahalini, Barasuara, Rony Parulian, and K-Pop artists eaJ and Hearts2Hearts, complete with cross-genre collaborations performed live on stage.
Wrapped as a Reflection of Listener Trends in Indonesia
This year’s Wrapped reveals the growing interest of Indonesian listeners in emotionally touching music. Hindia took center stage in the Indonesian music scene as Top Local Artist and Top Male Artist of 2025 in Indonesia. His honest storytelling has made his music the soundtrack of this generation.
His two albums, Menari Dengan Bayangan (#3) and Lagipula Hidup Akan Berakhir (#4), also entered the Top 5 Local Albums of 2025, following Perayaan Patah Hati – Babak 1 by For Revenge, which topped the category as Top Local Album of 2025 in Indonesia. Honest storytelling and strong emotional resonance have made For Revenge’s album relatable to many listeners.

The year’s most-streamed songs reflect Indonesian listeners’ tendency toward emotional and heartfelt music.
Spotify not only announced the Top Artists, Songs, and Albums based on streaming data that reflect user trends in Indonesia. This year, they also introduced a new category: The Most Discovered Local Artist of 2025, highlighting the Indonesian artists most discovered by new listeners on Spotify—showing how emerging talents grow and are found through the platform.
Tenxi took the top spot as Most Discovered Local Artist of 2025 in Indonesia, followed by Silet Open Up (#2), Fourtwnty (#3), .Feast (#4), and Juan Reza (#5). This list reflects cultural trends on Spotify, where Indonesian listeners increasingly support emerging talents from eastern Indonesia, explore new genres like hipdut, and shape the next wave of music trends.
Though Wrapped Live Indonesia 2025 highlighted the strong influence of local music, international musicians still hold a special place in Indonesian listening habits. Taylor Swift once again became the most-streamed international artist on Spotify in Indonesia, while NIKI’s Spotify Singles cover of “You’ll Be In My Heart” was the Top International Song in Indonesia this year.

Raditya Dika’s podcast claimed the top spot in two categories — Top Podcast and Top Comedy Podcast 2025 in Indonesia, solidifying his strong presence in the local podcast landscape. His signature storytelling style and humorous perspectives continue to win the hearts of listeners nationwide.

The horror genre’s appeal remained strong this year. Lentera Malam claimed the top spot as Top Horror Podcast of 2025 in Indonesia for the second year in a row. Following it were RJL 5 (#2), Horor Misteri Riplay (#3), Podcast Malam Kliwon (#4), and Besok Pagi (Podcast Pendakian Horor) (#5) — reaffirming the strong interest listeners have in chilling, mysterious nighttime stories.
While comedy and horror remain favorites among Indonesian listeners, a growing interest in self-care and educational podcasts — often featuring expert perspectives — shows that people are turning to podcasts as a space to learn, broaden their understanding, and stay informed.
This trend is evident in SUARA BERKELAS by SE.KELAS, which topped the Top Education Podcast of 2025 in Indonesia, followed by MALAKA (#2), Theo Derick (#3), Bocor Alus Politik (#4), and Najwa Shihab (#5). Their strong performance reflects listeners’ increasing desire for new viewpoints and informative content.
A similar momentum is seen in the Top Self-Care Podcast of 2025 in Indonesia. Rintik Sedu secured the top position once again, followed by Kita dan Waktu (#2), Pengembangan Diri (#3), Biar Ga Nyesel (#4), and Self Healing (#5)—affirming that listeners continue seeking guidance and space for reflection in their daily lives.
The Top New Podcast category this year highlights creators whose programs launched on Spotify in 2025. MALAKA took the top spot as Top New Podcast of 2025 in Indonesia, followed by Theo Derick (#2), ABG Siniar (#3), Najwa Shihab (#4), and RISYAD AND SON (#5)—showing listeners’ excitement as these programs finally arrived on Spotify.
K-Pop: Indonesia as One of the Biggest Listener Bases
K-Pop continues to be an essential part of daily life for millions of listeners worldwide this year. Fans use Spotify to enjoy their favorite artists and songs.
In 2025, global listeners streamed over 181 billion minutes of K-Pop on Spotify — showcasing the genre’s powerful global appeal. Countries with the largest K-Pop listener bases include the United States, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Brazil, Mexico, Thailand, Taiwan, India, and South Korea.
BTS once again claimed the top position as the most-streamed K-Pop artist this year, ranking #1 on the Global Top K-Pop Artists of 2025 list. Following them are Stray Kids (#2), BLACKPINK members JENNIE (#3) and ROSÉ (#4), and HUNTR/X (#5) from K-Pop Demon Hunters, completing this year’s Top 5.
The Global Top K-Pop Songs 2025 list reflects the diversity of sound and memorable moments in K-Pop that resonated most with global listeners. At the top is “APT.” by ROSÉ and Bruno Mars. “Golden” by HUNTR/X, EJAE, AUDREY NUNA, REI AMI, and the K-Pop Demon Hunters Cast takes second place, followed by “Who” by Jimin (#3), “Don’t Say You Love Me” by Jin (#4), and “like JENNIE” by JENNIE (#5).
