The Tyrant is one of the most anticipated show, where the series marks the return of actor Kim Seon Ho. Airing on Disney+ Hotstar, The Tyrant comes with a thrilling story in which a group of rogue scientists working in the South Korean government develop a virus that can change the condition of the world.

The 38-year-old actor said that his character in The Tyrant has never been portrayed before. Kim Seon Ho revealed that Director Choe is the youngest designer of The Tyrant program and he wants to protect the program.
“I’m a big fan of The Witch franchise and I’m happy that I joined this. But The Chaser (his character in the movie The Childe) and Director Choe in this series are someone I haven’t played in my previous works. So I can bring out a new side of myself through these characters and that’s why I chose this series,” Kim Seon Ho said in a virtual press conference on Monday, July 15, 2024.
On the same occasion, The Tyrant director Park Hoon Jung shared Kim Seon Ho’s concerns when he was offered to play Director Choi. Kim Seon Ho felt that the character was very interesting, but on the other hand he lacked confidence in being able to play it.
“Seon Ho told me that he thought it was a very interesting character to play, but he had some concerns because he had never done anything like that before,” Park Hoon Jung said.
As a director who has worked together several times, Park Hoon Jung had full confidence in Kim Seon Ho that he would do very well. Thanks to the support and trust given to him, Kim Seon Ho successfully portrayed Director Choe.
Kim Seon Ho stated that one of the most interesting things about The Tyrant is the variety of characters. Each character stands out and has their own uniqueness. When put together, it will be very exciting, according to Kim Seon Ho.
“The characters are so charming in their own way, they have their own personalities, there are chases and they all have different motives. So when the different characters clash with each other, it’s going to be a lot of fun. It will be a thrilling journey for all viewers,” said Kim Seon Ho.
