We The Fest #WTF24, A Summer Festival of Music, Arts, Fashion & Food, Ismaya Live’s music festival, announced the second phase lineup for its 10th anniversary edition, which will be held on July 19, 20, and 21, 2024, at GBK Sports Complex Senayan, Jakarta, Indonesia.
The announcement adds 12 more musicians who will join Peggy Gou, Omar Apollo, and Turnstile on the We The Fest lineup.
Various genres are presented to symbolize the diversity that We The Fest has been bringing. Ranging from archipelago music, Latin, hiphop, electronic, rock, and other kinds of music were part of the festivities of this edition.
Starting from the winner of various awards such as the Latin Grammy Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and American Music Awards, J BALVIN will be present in Indonesia for the first time as a headliner at #WTF24. Popular songs such as “Mi Gente”, “Loco Contigo”, and “In Da Getto” will be performed for the first time on the We The Fest stage.
Singer-songwriter JOJI also joins the #WTF24 lineup. His music is described as a blend of R&B, lo-fi, and trip hop, often with introspective lyrics, making his songs popular with a wide range of listeners.
In addition, chart-topping rapper RUSS will also be performing for the first time in Jakarta at #WTF24. Through his independent approach to music production and releasing his songs independently on SoundCloud, Russ has caught the attention of many fans.
Also part of the festivities are Korean hip-hop singer BIBI, young vocalist/songwriter JOPLYN, legendary Korean hip-hop couple TIGER JK & YOON MI RAE, and Filipino singer YLONA GARCIA, who will also be performing alongside Singaporean pop singer HAVEN.
Also announced were the joining of homegrown bands AVHATH, SKANDAL, and ZEKE AND THE POPO, and there are still names that We The Fest will announce in the next phase.
We the fest itself has been around for 10 years and has become a platform for musicians and various art activists to showcase their work. Therefore, in this year’s 10th anniversary edition, Submit Your Music is back in collaboration with Pophariini, providing opportunities for musicians to join the lineup and perform on the We The Fest stage.
Musicians who meet the requirements and want to take part in Submit Your Music can register through the link wethefest.com/sym. Registration is open from Monday, April 29, 2024, to Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 23:59.
Since 2016, Submit Your Music has been won by various Indonesian musicians such as Garside, Onar, Pijar, The Panturas, Textpack, and many more.
