EXO’s vocalist and rapper, Xiumin, continues to spread his wings in the world of K-Pop. After finding success with EXO, Xiumin has been exploring various projects, from being part of EXO’s sub-unit, EXO-CBX, to starring in musical dramas, contributing to OST soundtracks, acting in dramas and in 2022, made his official solo debut with the album titled ‘Brand New’.
In his solo debut album, there are 5 tracks including Brand New, Feedback, How We Do featuring NCT’s Mark, Love Letter, and Serenity. According to Circle Chart, Xiumin’s solo debut album ‘Brand New’ successfully sold 145,000 copies in its first week. Xiumin’s ‘Brand New’ album also peaked at #6 on Oricon Weekly Albums Japan and at #7 on Billboard Hot Albums Japan chart.
Currently, Xiumin has joined the agency where his bandmate, Baekhyun is the founder and CEO, INB100 Entertainment along with another EXO member, Chen. Xiumin officially joined INB100 on January 8, 2024. All of his solo activities will be managed by INB100 while his activities with EXO remain under SM Entertainment.
Meanwhile, Xiumin himself is part of the lineup for the annual MECIMAPRO event, Saranghaeyo Indonesia 2024 which will be held on May 4, 2024 at Beach City International Stadium, Jakarta. Xiumin expressed his excitement through an official video greeting posted by the promoter, MECIMAPRO on their official Instagram and Twitter (X) accounts.
“Halo Indonesia, aku Xiumin. Lama nggak jumpa!” greeted Xiumin in Indonesian. Xiumin expressed his happiness about returning to Indonesia and will greet fans again in Saranghaeyo Indonesia 2024. He also mentioned that he has prepared a special and exciting performance for Indonesian fans whom he misses.
Saranghaeyo Indonesia 2024 will be enlivened by many spectacular K-pop idol line-ups such as Young K, DAY6, BOY STORY, Xiumin, Chen, and xikers.
