Jakarta, September 9, 2025 – The world of Barbie can now be experienced in real life. The international exhibition World of Barbie: Dreams Made Here officially opened on Tuesday (9/9) at Level L2 Floor, Agora Mall, Jakarta, and will run until October 26, 2025. This large-scale exhibition is the first of its kind in Asia, following successful runs in California and Texas, USA.
Covering an area of 25,000 square feet, World of Barbie offers an immersive experience that brings visitors into the iconic world of the legendary doll. From the colorful Barbie Dreamhouse, the adventurous DreamCampervan, the Sound Studio for creative expression, to the World of Barbie Museum, every corner is designed in detail to provide an interactive experience. On opening day, the lively atmosphere drew immediate attention—from families snapping photos to young visitors experimenting with creative installations.
Faqih Mulyawan, CEO of GOLDLive Indonesia, called the exhibition an important moment in creating an imaginative space that spans generations.
“Seeing all the preparations finally come to life in a real space that’s now open to the public is a joyful moment. We hope World of Barbie Jakarta becomes a fresh, inspiring experience that leaves a lasting impression on every visitor.”
The launch of World of Barbie in Jakarta is also expected to have a positive impact on tourism and the entertainment industry. As the first exhibition in Asia, it’s hoped to attract international visitors while also driving growth in the local creative industry. The expectation is that Barbie fans across Southeast Asia will come to Indonesia to experience it firsthand.
Wisanggeni Basuki Buena, CEO of GandemPro, emphasized that World of Barbie is more than just a visual exhibition—it’s a space that delivers an inspirational message.
“We want visitors not just to view the installations, but also to feel the empowering message behind them. This is entertainment that unites generations and creates unforgettable experiences.”
Inside the exhibition area, visitors are greeted by colorful decorations and lighting designed to enhance the immersive experience. Each installation resembles a movie set, allowing direct interaction—from cooking in the Dreamhouse kitchen to trying instruments in the Sound Studio.
World of Barbie Jakarta is open to all—children, young adults, and those who grew up with Barbie and want to relive the nostalgia. Tickets are priced from Rp225,000 to Rp450,000, inclusive of a 10% local entertainment tax. Tickets can be purchased at worldofbarbiejakarta.com.
