Legendary Indonesian singer Hetty Koes Endang expressed her excitement and pride in joining the international music group Boney M to celebrate their 50-year journey in the music industry.
“I am so happy to be a part of the 50th anniversary celebration of Boney M. They are music legends who have been creating for five decades, and I am truly honored,” said Hetty at a press conference for the “Boney M – 50th Anniversary Tour” held in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Hetty shared that this celebration concert is especially meaningful to her because she also started her professional music career around 50 years ago.
The singer, known for many hit songs in Indonesia, stated that this moment would be a valuable opportunity for her. She also highlighted the special nature of this collaboration as she will be duetting with Maizie Williams, one of Boney M’s members.
In addition, Hetty mentioned that although Boney M is known for their international hits, she will perform Indonesian songs during her segment.
“This is an extraordinary experience because Boney M and I have been together in the music world for five decades,” she said.
As a singer with over half a century of career experience, Hetty Koes Endang also expressed her gratitude for her long and enduring journey in music. Not only in pop music, but Hetty is also known for her ability to explore various genres, from keroncong and dangdut to pop, and she is now ready to entertain her fans with a disco-themed performance.

As part of their 50th Anniversary Tour, Boney M will bring their legendary music to Southeast Asia in January 2025. The tour will start in Kuching (Sarawak), with additional stops in Jakarta (Indonesia), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), and Singapore.
