Jakarta The Final Tour “Super Show Spin-Off: Halftime”, Super Junior Performs RIIZE and NewJeans Songs

The boy group Super Junior successfully wrapped up their tour titled “2024 Super Junior in Asia” with a concert at the Beach City International Stadium (BCIS) in Ancol, Jakarta, on Saturday, September 14, 2024. This performance marked the final stop of their Asian tour and the show promoted by iMe Indonesia.

Jakarta was chosen as the last city for this tour, and Super Junior expressed their happiness about concluding their tour in the Indonesian capital. The enthusiastic ELF (Ever Lasting Friends), the fanbase of Super Junior, filled the venue with vibrant energy, bringing various merchandise such as headbands, light sticks, and posters, and wearing blue jerseys as suggested by one of the Super Junior members.

The concert atmosphere was electric, with the stadium illuminated by the dazzling lights of countless light sticks, creating a high-spirited ambiance from the fans. After their last full performance on September 17, 2022, Super Junior returned to Jakarta with the full lineup including Leeteuk, Yesung, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun.

Super Junior performed RIIZE’s song “Get A Guitar” while dressed in school uniform-style outfits, a performance that was met with great enthusiasm from ELF. The fans eagerly shouted and cheered for the members. Following this, Ryeowook, Donghae, Kyuhyun, Shindong, and Eunhyuk performed a dance cover of NewJeans’ popular song “Hype Boy,” donning cute accessories and dancing energetically like the NewJeans members. The adorable performance of these four members led to even more excitement and hysteria from the audience.

The performances of RIIZE and NewJeans’ songs quickly went viral on social media, with many ELF sharing fan cams of the Super Junior members on TikTok, Instagram, and X (formerly known as Twitter). After these special performances, Super Junior continued to energize the crowd with their popular hits. The concert concluded with their most famous songs including “Sorry Sorry,” “Talk,” and “Believe.”

At the end of the concert, Leeteuk expressed his gratitude to Indonesian ELF for their enthusiastic support, while Yesung hoped that Super Junior would continue to return to Indonesia in the future. “You are amazing, and we will come back again,” Leeteuk said as a farewell message. Super Junior also announced that they are currently preparing for their 20th-anniversary celebration and promised to return to Indonesia in their next tour.

The Asia tour was a major project for Super Junior in celebration of their 19th debut anniversary. The “Super Show Spin-Off: Halftime” tour included seven cities: Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh, Taipei, Hong Kong, and concluded in Jakarta. Super Junior first held a concert in Indonesia during Super Show 4 in 2012.
