K-Expo Indonesia 2024, the largest Korean cultural exhibition in Indonesia, took place in Jakarta from November 14 to 17, 2024. The event was organized by various South Korean ministries with the goal of introducing Korean culture to the Indonesian public and promoting business relations between the two countries. The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of South Korea collaborated with KOCCA to host this South Korea-Indonesia partnership event.

Seven institutions also participated to enliven the event, including the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Korea Design Promotion Institute (KIDP), Korea Small and Medium Business Distribution Agency (KOSME), and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA).

K-Expo Indonesia 2024 was divided into three main segments: business meetings, a Hallyu cultural exhibition, and a Hallyu concert.

On Saturday, November 15, 2024, the TodayStageID team successfully covered the event. Opening at 11:00 AM WIB at the Jakarta Convention Center, Hall A featured the Hallyu Cultural Exhibition, showcasing a variety of products related to Korean culture, including K-pop, K-beauty, K-fashion, and more. Visitors had the opportunity to explore global trends in Korean culture.

In addition, the event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by representatives from KOCCA, Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, aT, KOTRA, KIDP, KOSME, KITA, and Indonesia’s Minister of Culture, Fadli Zon.

After the ribbon cutting, the minister toured the exhibition booths in Hall A.

Once attendees were done exploring the exhibition, shopping, and learning about Korean culture, they were invited to the next segment: the Hallyu concert. The concert featured performances by popular K-pop artists such as Ailee, SF9, Nomad, and Beatpella House. Fans were able to enjoy the performances for free by registering in advance on the official K-Expo Indonesia website.

The concert began at 6:00 PM WIB, hosted by MC Artos Olla, Yuri Cho, and Nomad member Sangha, and was followed by remarks from Indonesia’s Minister of Culture, Fadli Zon.

The first performance by Beatpella House left the audience in awe as they performed hit songs like Pink Venom and closed with a K-pop medley, including ETA by NewJeans.

Next, representing the 5th generation of K-pop, Nomad took the stage, impressing with five songs, including No Pressure, Call Me Back, Let Me Love You, and Light On. Between performances, they shared their love for Indonesian food, especially nasi goreng (fried rice).

The third performer was one of Korea’s top divas, Ailee. She opened with U&I, and the crowd went wild, especially when she sang the OST from Goblin, I Will Go to You Like the First Snow.

The concert concluded with an incredible performance by SF9, starting with Bebora and ending with My Fantasy. The audience cheered loudly throughout SF9’s performance.
