Long Hiatus, Dean Reconnects with His Fans in Indonesia Through the “DEAN with Tabber Live in Jakarta” Concert

Dean and Tabber successfully held their concert in Jakarta on Saturday, December 7, 2024. The event, held at Kota Kasablanka Hall, served as a reunion between Dean and his Indonesian fans.

Not only that, but the concert titled “DEAN with Tabber Live in Jakarta” was like a long-awaited reunion.

This was especially significant since it had been 7 years since Dean last performed in Jakarta at a music festival. After that, Dean took a hiatus and was away from the music scene for a long time, before making his comeback in 2023 with the release of his single “DIE 4 YOU.”

In this concert, Dean performed after Tabber. He sang some of his popular hit songs, including “D (Half Moon)”, “Instagram”, “Pour Up”, “I’m Not Sorry”, and “BERMUDA TRIANGLE.”

The South Korean singer, songwriter, and producer, whose real name is Kwon Hyuk, caught the audience’s attention during his opening remarks after singing the song “Love.” He introduced himself in both English and Indonesian.

“What’s up Jakarta? (Apa kabar Jakarta?) My name is Dean from South Korea (Nama saya Dean dari Korea Selatan). Nama saya Dean,” he said during the concert.

Not only that, but between his performances, Dean also complimented the audience for singing along with him during the concert, using Indonesian slang.

“Kalian mantul!” Dean exclaimed.

He even said, “Aku cinta kamu,” which made the audience scream with excitement.

Dean has become one of the most prominent South Korean artists known for his R&B and hip-hop style. His timeless songs continue to resonate with his fans, who sang along and made the “DEAN with Tabber Live in Jakarta” concert even more lively and memorable.
