LUN8, Paul Kim, and OH MY GIRL Celebrate KOREA 360’s 2nd Anniversary

 

Jakarta, December 6, 2024 – The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, in collaboration with the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), hosted the KOREA 360 2nd Anniversary: <2GETHER> event, attended by thousands of Korean culture fans in Indonesia. Held at the Main Atrium of KOREA 360 at Lotte Mall Jakarta on December 6-7, 2024, this event marked the second anniversary of KOREA 360 as a hub for promoting K-Brands and Korean culture in Jakarta. The event featured three highly anticipated Korean artists: rookie boy group LUN8, solo artist Paul Kim, and the fairy-concept girl group OH MY GIRL.

Before their performances, the artists participated in press conferences, answering questions about their current activities and future plans. Afterward, they attended a ceremonial handprinting event at COLLECT Town KOREA 360, adding their handprints to the collection, which now totals 162. Fans can visit KOREA 360 to see these handprints in person.

The first day of the KOREA 360 2nd Anniversary: <2GETHER> celebration featured performances from LUN8 and Paul Kim. LUN8, a rookie boy group known for their energetic performances, showcased three of their popular tracks during their Fanmeeting on DAY 1: “SUPER POWER,” “Love Trailer,” and “WHIP.” LUN8 debuted on June 15, 2023, with their first mini-album CONTINUE?, and their song “Voyager” received a positive response from fans.

Following LUN8’s fan meeting, Paul Kim held a mini-concert with his signature soothing voice. He performed three famous songs that were used as soundtracks for popular Korean dramas, including “So Long” from Hotel Del Luna. Paul Kim also sang two of his hits, “Me After You” and “Every Day, Every Moment.” His performance created an emotional atmosphere in the Main Atrium, as his soulful voice touched the hearts of fans, reminiscent of scenes from their favorite dramas. The first day concluded with a Hi-Touch session and group photo with Paul Kim for lucky fans.

On the second day, LUN8 and OH MY GIRL continued the celebration of KOREA 360 2nd Anniversary: <2GETHER>. LUN8 returned to greet fans during their Fanmeeting DAY 2, captivating the audience with their unique charm and fresh energy. The group had just released their second mini-album AWAKENING in August 2024.

OH MY GIRL, known for their sweet and playful concept, performed three of their hit songs: “Dun Dun Dance,” “Dolphin,” and “Nonstop.” Their cheerful performance, with the group’s signature cute style, made the atmosphere even more festive. OH MY GIRL debuted on April 21, 2015, with their mini-album OH MY GIRL and recently made a comeback with their latest mini-album Dreamy Resonance on August 24, 2024. After the mini-concert, fans had the chance to participate in a fansigning session with OH MY GIRL, closing the two-day event.

A total of 320 lucky fans per day were granted premium access to attend these performances. These fans, who had participated in a challenge to win free access, were given the chance to interact closely with the artists. Over 850 fans took part in the challenge, vying for Silver and Diamond access categories. Fans with Diamond access had the rare opportunity to engage with their idols through Hi-Touch sessions and group photos with Paul Kim on the first day, and a fansigning session with OH MY GIRL on the second day.

KOREA 360 2nd Anniversary: <2GETHER> was made possible thanks to KOCCA Indonesia, the official representative office of the Korea Creative Content Agency in Indonesia. The event not only celebrated the center’s anniversary but also served as a gesture of appreciation for the loyal visitors of KOREA 360. Over the past two years, KOREA 360 has built a strong community of Korean culture enthusiasts in Jakarta.

With its various engaging events and deepening cultural exchange, KOREA 360 aims to continue providing innovative experiences and showcasing exclusive Korean products at COLLECT Town for visitors to enjoy.

Since its opening in December 2022, KOREA 360 has attracted over 3.2 million visitors. Kim Young Soo, Regional Director of KOCCA Indonesia, expressed gratitude to Korean culture fans in Indonesia for their support, stating, “We want to thank the Korean culture fans in Indonesia by bringing three well-known K-pop artists to celebrate KOREA 360’s second anniversary this year.”

KOREA 360, as a cultural promotion center, was established to support the international expansion of Hallyu content and related Korean industries. It operates with the support of nine Korean government organizations, including KOCCA, the Korean Cultural Center (KCC), the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), the Korea Cosmetic Industry Institute (KCI), the Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP), and the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE).
