The K-pop group Oh My Girl has unique habits before performing on stage. One member, YooA, admitted that she doesn’t usually like drinking coffee. However, she finds that coffee helps boost her energy when meeting their fans, called Miracle.
“I usually don’t like drinking coffee, but I feel that drinking coffee before meeting the fans makes me more energetic,” YooA shared in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
She believes that coffee also helps her sing better for the fans. “So, I can sing better for the fans,” she added.
Aside from YooA, Mimi also has a habit of talking to the other members before going on stage. She does this to help the group feel less pressured.
“I like talking to the other members so that we don’t feel too stressed,” said Mimi.
They also practice vocal warm-ups together before performing, which helps them appear more natural when interacting with their fans.
“So we look more natural when facing the fans,” Mimi concluded.
Moreover, Oh My Girl has plans to hold a concert in Indonesia, as revealed by one of the members, Yu-bin. “I already have plans, but I need to get permission from the agency first,” Yu-bin mentioned during a press conference before their performance.
Oh My Girl’s visit to Indonesia was to attend the 2nd anniversary celebration of KOREA 360 at Lotte Mall, Jakarta, on Saturday, December 7, 2024. This marked their first performance in front of Indonesian Miracle.
Other members, such as YooA, expressed their excitement about visiting Indonesia, especially due to the warm and enthusiastic welcome from the fans.
“I’m happy to be in Jakarta today, all thanks to your attention,” YooA said.
During their mini concert, Oh My Girl performed three of their popular songs to entertain the fans present, including “Dun Dun Dance,” “Dolphin,” and “Nonstop.”
Seung-hee, another member of Oh My Girl, expressed her gratitude for the attention and love from the fans. She promised to create even better songs for their Indonesian fans.
“Thank you to all the Miracles for your attention and love for us, even though we’re far from Indonesia to Korea,” said Seung-hee. “As a singer, I know I will make even more great songs for the fans in Indonesia,” she added.
In addition to their special performance, Oh My Girl had the chance to participate in a handprinting ceremony at COLLECT Town KOREA 360. The members appeared excited throughout the event.
KOREA 360 was established as a cultural promotion center to support the overseas expansion of Hallyu content and related Korean industries. KOREA 360 has been operating at Lotte Mall, Kuningan, South Jakarta, since December 2022.
