Five Reasons OK! Let’s Get Divorced Is a Must-Watch: When Divorce Rekindles Old Feelings

When couples decide to divorce, the usual hope is to finally step away from each other’s lives. But for Baek Mi-young and Ji Won-ho, that is easier said than done. They still have a business to run, families to deal with, and years of unresolved pain to confront.

That complicated situation lies at the heart of OK! Let’s Get Divorced, the latest Korean drama starring Lee Min-jung and Kim Ji-seok, now streaming on Viu. The two play a married couple who have spent seven years together building G&White, a bridal boutique where Mi-young serves as the company’s leader while Won-ho works as a designer.

Their marriage once began with love. But the pressure of running a business, interference from family, the loss of their unborn child, and years of poor communication gradually pushed them apart. Eventually, Mi-young decides to file for divorce.

Ironically, the divorce that was supposed to bring closure instead brings old anger, jealousy, secrets, and unresolved feelings back to the surface.

Here are five reasons OK! Let’s Get Divorced is worth adding to your watchlist.

1. Lee Min-jung and Kim Ji-seok Play a Far-From-Perfect Couple

Lee Min-jung returns to television drama after a lengthy break, taking on a character very different from the image of a woman who always has everything under control.

As Baek Mi-young, she portrays a determined business leader who appears strong on the outside but carries deep exhaustion and emotional wounds from her marriage. Her strength does not make her immune to heartbreak, disappointment, or doubt.

Kim Ji-seok plays Ji Won-ho, Mi-young’s husband and a designer who was once the man she fell in love with. Won-ho is not portrayed as a completely bad husband. Instead, his pride and inability to understand what Mi-young truly needs make their problems even harder to resolve.

Together, they create a relationship that feels both familiar and exhausting. They know exactly how to make each other smile—and, perhaps more painfully, exactly where to hurt each other.

2. Their Marriage Does Not Fall Apart Because of One Big Mistake

One of the drama’s strengths is that it does not reduce divorce to a single dramatic betrayal.

Mi-young and Won-ho’s marriage breaks down because of problems that accumulate over time. Mi-young feels that she has been carrying the responsibility of saving G&White almost by herself, while Won-ho feels increasingly unappreciated as both a husband and a business partner. His mother’s involvement adds another layer of tension to their already fragile relationship.

The deepest wound, however, comes from the loss of their unborn child three years earlier.

Instead of grieving together, Mi-young and Won-ho retreat into their own pain. They blame one another, shut down emotionally, and allow the distance between them to grow.

They remain married, but gradually stop being a safe place for each other.

That makes their story especially relatable. Not every relationship ends because of one explosive event. Sometimes, a marriage slowly falls apart through conversations that are repeatedly postponed and feelings that are never properly addressed.

3. They Sell the Dream of Marriage While Their Own Marriage Is Falling Apart

Mi-young and Won-ho help customers prepare for one of the most meaningful days of their lives: their wedding day.

Yet behind the bridal gowns and romantic atmosphere of G&White, the owners’ own marriage is on the verge of collapse.

This irony gives OK! Let’s Get Divorced an intriguing setting. Even if Mi-young and Won-ho want to walk away from each other, they cannot simply disappear from one another’s lives. Their company still needs both of them.

As a result, their personal problems constantly spill into their professional relationship. A business decision can trigger a personal argument, while an unresolved marital issue can quickly become a workplace conflict.

They are forced to answer a difficult question: Can they still work as a team when they no longer want to remain a couple?

4. Wanting a Divorce Somehow Brings Jealousy Back to the Surface

Deciding to divorce does not automatically erase feelings.

That becomes increasingly obvious when people from Mi-young and Won-ho’s past return to their lives.

Mi-young crosses paths with Calvin, her former boyfriend who is now the CEO of a hotel. Their reunion immediately sparks jealousy in Won-ho, even though Mi-young has already made it clear that she wants to end their marriage.

Meanwhile, Won-ho reconnects with Ahn Hee-joo, a young photographer he met in Milan. Hee-joo openly expresses her interest in him, even after learning that he is married.

Calvin and Hee-joo do more than complicate the romantic storyline. Their presence forces Mi-young and Won-ho to confront a more uncomfortable question: If they truly no longer have feelings for each other, why does the thought of the other person moving on still hurt?

5. Divorce Becomes a Chance to Rediscover Each Other

After seven years of marriage, Mi-young and Won-ho believe they know everything about each other.

But divorce reveals how much they have actually left unsaid.

Won-ho only begins to understand the seriousness of Mi-young’s decision when the divorce papers arrive. Mi-young, meanwhile, has to confront memories of the man who once made her happy—not simply the husband who now makes her feel disappointed and alone.

This is perhaps the most compelling aspect of OK! Let’s Get Divorced.

Divorce is not presented simply as the end of a relationship. Instead, it becomes the beginning of a journey in which two people are forced to examine what went wrong, what they still feel, and whether their relationship can ever be understood differently.

Will that realization bring Mi-young and Won-ho back together? Or will it simply help them let go of each other in a healthier way?

That question becomes one of the biggest reasons to keep watching.

Alongside Lee Min-jung and Kim Ji-seok, OK! Let’s Get Divorced also stars Lee Hyun-jin, Lee Jin-yi, Oh Yeon-ah, Jung Eui-jae, and Wang Bit-na.
