Jakarta, February 27, 2025 — After announcing that MALIQ & D’Essentials will contribute the iconic song “Kumpul Bocah” to the soundtrack of the animated film JUMBO, Visinema Studios has released the music video for the song, which was produced by Visinema Pictures.
In the Kumpul Bocah music video, we are invited to see the warmth of the band members — Angga, Indah, Widi, Jawa, Ilman, and Lale — joyfully playing with children in a daycare playground.
It’s like celebrating childhood memories, with the six members of MALIQ & D’Essentials running around, singing as if performing on stage. The video is interspersed with clips from the JUMBO animated film, which adds a touch of imagination to the visuals.
The Kumpul Bocah music video, starring MALIQ & D’Essentials, is also emotionally touching when adults return to play with their children. It serves as a reminder of the joy of childhood adventures, which may never happen again but can still be recreated if we spend time with our children.
One special surprise is the cameo appearance of Vina Panduwinata as the daycare boss at the end of the music video. This is a tribute to the diva, who had previously popularized the song and made it an anthem of joy across generations. Now, with MALIQ & D’Essentials performing it as part of the JUMBO animated film’s OST, Kumpul Bocah remains a timeless song, complementing the beauty and warmth of Don’s adventure with his friends.
The Kumpul Bocah music video was directed by Bobby Zarkasih, the man behind the Kuning music video by the band Morfem, which was the OST for Ali Topan, and Berakhir di Aku by IDGITAF, which was the OST for Home Sweet Loan. In his latest video work, he successfully brings the simplicity of family warmth between parents and children to life.
Produced by Arthana Cakti, the cinematography for the Kumpul Bocah music video was directed by Leontius Tito Manggala P., with Herry Budiazhari Salim, Anggia Kharisma, Novia Puspa Sari, and Cristian Imanuell serving as executive producers.

The animated film JUMBO is directed by Ryan Adriandhy and produced by Anggia Kharisma and Novia Puspa Sari. The voice cast for JUMBO includes Prince Poetiray, Quinn Salman, Yusuf Ozkan, Ariel NOAH, Ratna Riantiarno, Ariyo Wahab, Bunga Citra Lestari, Angga Yunanda, M. Adhiyat, Graciella Abigail, and Cinta Laura Kiehl.
The animated film JUMBO follows the story of Don, who often feels underestimated by his friends. To prove he is more than just a big-bodied kid who never wins at anything, Don decides to join a talent show and perform a stage play inspired by a book passed down by his parents.
However, everything changes when a bully steals the book, and Don meets a little boy who asks for his help to reunite with his parents. Together with his new friend, Don embarks on an exciting and heartwarming adventure, teaching the values of courage, self-confidence, and true friendship.
