Spotify RADAR Indonesia Returns to Spotlight 10 Local Talents Shaping the Sound of Indonesian Music

Jakarta, April 16, 2025 – Amid the ever-evolving Indonesian music scene, Spotify remains committed to supporting artists at every stage of their journey. Through RADAR, a global program designed to help emerging artists reach new audiences, Spotify today introduces 10 artists from across genres in Indonesia who are ready to bring fresh energy to the nation’s music landscape.

The lineup of RADAR Indonesia 2025 reflects the rich diversity and dynamism of Indonesian music — from The Lantis, who evoke ’80s nostalgia with their indie-pop sound; White Chorus, bringing fresh energy into electro-pop; to Aftershine, reviving Javanese pop for today’s generation. Also featured are Tissa Biani, Rony Parulian, Deborah Hanna, and Difki Khalif, who offer deeply personal and meaningful pop creations, along with Adikara and Rafi Sudirman, who bring a modern and authentic twist to the pop-jazz genre.

“We’re excited to see how, year after year, RADAR Indonesia continues to introduce new musicians with diverse genres and musical styles. Through RADAR, we want to celebrate their creativity, because there’s always something new for listeners to discover. Spotify is committed to supporting Indonesian artists in the long term and helping their music reach listeners across the globe,” said Kossy Ng, Head of Music for Spotify Southeast Asia.

Long-Term Impact of RADAR: From Playlists to Major Milestones

Thanks to RADAR, more opportunities have opened up to help propel these young artists to the next stage in their musical careers. Beyond editorial support through playlisting, Spotify also provides out-of-home publicity to highlight the incredible potential of these artists as they reach broader audiences.

RADAR artists have shown significant growth, with an average monthly listener increase of 40% and a 30% rise in streaming numbers within six months of joining the program.

Each year, RADAR artists continue to make waves. Salma Salsabil, one of the RADAR Indonesia 2024 artists, was named RADAR Indonesia Artist of the Year in Wrapped 2024. Aziz Hedra, a RADAR Indonesia 2023 artist, saw his hit “Somebody’s Pleasure” top Indonesia’s music charts and expand across Southeast Asia, reaching audiences in Vietnam, the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia. Bernadya also stood out in Wrapped 2024, winning Top Indonesian Artist of the Year and Top Indonesian Album of the Year.

For the selected musicians, RADAR is more than just a program — it’s a form of recognition.
“Being part of RADAR alongside other Indonesian artists is a huge motivation and pushes us to dream bigger and reach new listeners. Seeing the success of past RADAR artists reminds us that the music we create has the potential to be enjoyed by anyone, anywhere. We’re thrilled to be part of Spotify RADAR Indonesia this year,” said The Lantis, a 2025 RADAR artist.
