BCL Presents “Selalu Ada di Nadimu”

A Song Depicting a Mother’s Love for Her Child

Jakarta, March 20, 2025 — Bunga Citra Lestari (BCL), a singer who has won 7 AMI Awards, has officially released her latest single titled “Selalu Ada di Nadimu” (Always in Your Vein). This song is part of the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack for the animated film “JUMBO”, bringing a warm and emotional vibe with intimate yet grand arrangements. The song, which highlights the theme of a mother’s love and hope for her child, is poised to touch the hearts of listeners.

The message in the song aligns with the story in the animated film “JUMBO”, where BCL voices the character Ibu Don, a mother who works as a writer of fairy tales and songs. In the film, Ibu Don creates a song as a legacy for her son Don, which continues to be a source of strength and remembrance, even after her passing.

“The song ‘Selalu Ada di Nadimu’ is the deepest expression of a mother’s feelings for her child. It represents a mother’s prayers and hopes that always accompany her child, even after she is no longer in this world,” BCL explained.
“As a mother myself, I see that my child will have his own life journey. However, what parents teach and the love of a mother will always remain within the child,” she added.

This song is produced and written by Laleilmanino, with lyrics that express the prayers, hopes, and warmth parents have for their children. Nino Kayam shared that during the writing process, he was also inspired by his personal experience.

“I had just lost my father while working on this song. However, my inspiration didn’t just come from the parent-child relationship but also from the essence of friendship and the support we give to our loved ones,” Nino revealed about writing “Selalu Ada di Nadimu.”

“The world is not always kind. But it’s okay to not be okay. Sadness exists so we can appreciate happiness. And trust that our steps will always be protected by the prayers of everyone who loves us,” Nino added.

The creation of “Selalu Ada di Nadimu” followed the dynamics of the scenes in the “JUMBO” film. Laleilmanino translated the intimate atmosphere through orchestral arrangements, coupled with BCL’s vocals.
Ilman explained that the production of this animated film’s OST was slightly different from the usual process. Typically, Laleilmanino would first create notation and chord progressions, followed by writing the lyrics.

“This OST for ‘JUMBO’ is special because we started with the lyrics first. From a set of lyrics, we developed them into an anagram. Once the lyrics were done, we discussed with Nino. After working on the lyrics, Lale and I created the notation and chords. After making the demo, we recorded it,” Ilman said.

When they finally listened to the song and saw it in the “JUMBO” movie, Laleilmanino was moved by its warmth, accompanied by applause from the audience at the Gala Premiere. For them, the song is quite emotional.

“One, because we were involved in the film’s journey from the beginning. Two, because this was the first time we had the opportunity to write a theme song for a film. Three, because in this film, our song isn’t just background music, but plays an important role in the story. It makes us feel like we are part of something bigger than just providing a soundtrack. Thank you, Visinema, for the opportunity,” Nino shared.

For BCL, this is not the first time she has collaborated with Visinema. She was previously involved in the OST for “Keluarga Cemara”, a song that won the Piala Maya for Best Selected Theme Song. Now, through this collaboration with Visinema Studios, BCL presents the OST for the animated film “JUMBO”, which will warm the hearts of its viewers.
