Jakarta, March 13, 2025 – The animated film “JUMBO” is set to premiere in cinemas this Lebaran 2025, bringing a heartwarming story that will unite Indonesian families during the joyous holiday season. More than just a film, “JUMBO” is a love letter from its creators to all viewers, offering a safe and comforting experience that highlights universal values of courage, friendship, and family love.

“JUMBO” follows the journey of Don, a child who is often belittled by his friends. To prove that he is more than just a big-bodied kid who always loses, Don is determined to participate in a talent show by performing a stage play inspired by a fairytale book passed down from his parents. However, everything changes when a bully steals the book, and Don meets a mysterious young child who asks for his help to reunite with their parents. Along with his new friends, Don embarks on a magical adventure full of wonder, teaching the meaning of self-confidence, courage, and true friendship. The film features voices from Prince Poetiray, Quinn Salman, Yusuf Ozkan, M. Adhiyat, Graciella Abigail, Ariel NOAH, Bunga Citra Lestari, Angga Yunanda, Cinta Laura Kiehl, Ratna Riantiarno, and Ariyo Wahab.

Special Screening Tickets Sold Out
Anticipation for “JUMBO” has been palpable since Ramadan, as Visinema Studios held special screenings in 20 cities, from Jakarta to Ambon. This was in response to the enthusiastic reception from viewers following a closed screening event. The special screening was held simultaneously on March 15, 2025, with tickets going on sale on March 10, 2025. Within just a few hours, tickets sold out in several cities, including Jakarta, Bandung, and Yogyakarta. This proves that “JUMBO” has already captured the hearts of many viewers.

A Story Full of Meaning and Magic That Touches Our Inner Child
This animated film from Visinema Studios, produced by Anggia Kharisma and Novia Puspa Sari, and written and directed by Ryan Adriandhy, brings nostalgia to viewers with its heartwarming story. Set in an era when playing with friends and listening to fairy tales were childhood routines, and remains a collective memory for many to this day, this nostalgic tale unfolds through the adventures of Don (voiced by Den Bagus Sasono and Prince Poetiray) and his friends, Nurman (Yusuf Ozkan) and Mae (Graciela Abigail), along with Meri (Quinn Salman), a mysterious child from another world, and the adorable trio of goats from Nurman that will remind us of childhood friendships.

What starts as Don’s simple desire to showcase his parents’ fairytale book to the villagers of Kampung Seruni leads to an unexpected and magical adventure. They face fears, confront challenges that can only be overcome together, and learn about acceptance and forgiving mistakes. Through Don’s journey with his friends, “JUMBO” invites viewers to see the world from a child’s perspective and reconnect with their inner child, reminding us of the warm memories of childhood that can only happen once in a lifetime.

Iconic Soundtrack That Sparks Nostalgia
Supporting the emotions and warmth of the film, MALIQ & D’Essentials will present their classic song “Kumpul Bocah” as the main OST of “JUMBO”, a song that transcends generations and enhances the nostalgic feel of the film. Additionally, Prince Poetiray, Quinn Salman, and Bunga Citra Lestari also contribute songs to the soundtrack, with musical direction by Laleilmanino.
