Jakarta, May 27, 2025 – Action from across the border is ready to ignite Indonesian cinema screens. Blood Brothers: Bara Naga, a box office hit from Malaysia, will officially premiere exclusively across the CGV Indonesia network starting June 11, 2025. Produced by the legendary Skop Productions and directed by Syafiq Yusof alongside Abhilash Chandra, this film is a brutal action spectacle that has rocked the Malaysian box office, grossing over RM76 million (equivalent to more than IDR 292 billion). On the Internet Movie Database (IMDb), the film boasts an impressive 8.3 rating. Behind this success stands the renowned producer Datuk Dr. Yusof Haslam, who has ensured the film’s quality from start to finish.

Blood Brothers: Bara Naga tells the story of Ghaz (Sharnaaz Ahmad), a trained, disciplined, and lethal figure. When his mentor, Dato’ Zul (Wan Hanafi Su), is found brutally murdered, everything changes. All evidence points to one name: Ariff (Syafiq Kyle), a friend and former teammate whom Ghaz once considered a brother. Devastated by betrayal from the one he trusted most, Ghaz is given one mission: to hunt down and eliminate Ariff.

However, his pursuit draws Ghaz into a maze of treachery far darker than he imagined. Ariff is not alone. He has allied himself with Jaki (Syazwan Zulkifly), a volatile and angry figure with a criminal past. What began as a personal mission becomes an inner war. Amid brutal combat and bloody conspiracies, Ghaz must choose: fulfill his revenge for honor, or confront the wounds of the past that could destroy everything.

With blood-soaked action and intense close-quarters combat choreography, Blood Brothers: Bara Naga delivers a tense atmosphere reminiscent of The Raid. The film’s sleek cinematic style, fast-paced story rhythm, and grim criminal world setting make it more than just a film—it’s an experience. Beyond nonstop action, the film also ensures well-structured character development, narrative, and conflict, meticulously crafted from the start of production.

The characters contribute deep emotional layers that enrich the tension. Ghaz, with his cold and deadly aura; Ariff, the protagonist determined to survive; Jaki, wild and emotional, bringing complex dynamics; and Dato’ Zul, the pivotal figure at the heart of the conflict, exudes charisma. Also featured is Amelia Henderson, adding strength to the story as Sheila, a mysterious character harboring many secrets.

In Malaysia, Blood Brothers: Bara Naga was met with tremendous enthusiasm. Social media was flooded with testimonials calling it the best local action film in recent years. For many viewers, the film powerfully explores themes of trust and the need to stay wary of betrayal. As stated by TikTok user m’s edit, “In life, don’t trust anyone, because at any moment they could stab you in the back. Envy and betrayal don’t just come from outsiders but even from those closest to us, even family.”

Meanwhile, film reviewer TikTok account Weebro also praised the film.
