Horror fans, gather around—because the Thai horror film Panor is coming soon to Indonesia! This movie serves as a prequel to the Art of the Devil film series, a horror trilogy that first premiered in 2005.
Panor is produced by Five Star Production, a studio well-known for its high-quality horror and thriller films. The film is directed by Tum Putipong Saisikaew, who also directed the previous Art of the Devil films.
The film premiered in Thailand in January 2025, and it didn’t take long for it to receive positive reactions and enter the Thai box office charts.
Plot Summary of Panor
According to the trailer shared by YouTube channel @CGV KREASI, the movie opens with a monk approaching a young, abandoned girl named Panor (played by Cherprang Areekul). People pass by without paying attention, highlighting the child’s neglected condition—dirty, ragged, and pitiful.
But when the monk tries to help her, he ends up suffering a gruesome fate—an intense scene shows him vomiting blood.
This leads into a flashback of Panor’s past. She was born to a father who was cursed, and terrifying creatures like scorpions and tarantulas surround her mother during childbirth. Her birth coincided with a villager lifting a powerful curse—thus, Panor was marked from the start as someone to be feared and shunned.
Over time, it’s revealed that everyone who comes near Panor meets with terrible misfortune due to black magic. Eventually, Panor discovers that her life has been bound by a powerful dark force since birth. The curse, originating from someone in her past, has turned her life into a living nightmare.
What exactly is the supernatural force behind Panor’s misfortunes? Why does she bring disaster to those around her?
