The promoters, Color Asia Live and Otello Asia, have officially announced a new ticket category for The Script’s Satellites World Tour 2025 concert, which will be held in Jakarta and Surabaya. The new ticket category, Festival B, is priced at IDR 550,000 (excluding taxes and administrative fees). Tickets for Festival B are available starting today, Thursday, January 9, 2025, on the official website www.thescriptindonesia2025.com.
The Script’s Satellites World Tour 2025 in Jakarta and Surabaya will feature Hoobastank, an American rock band, as the opening act. In Jakarta, the concert will take place on Friday, February 14, 2025, at ICE BSD City, with Color Asia Live as the promoter. The Surabaya concert will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at JATIM Expo, with Otello Asia as the promoter.
For information, Hoobastank is a rock band from California, USA, formed in 1994. The band consists of Doug Robb (vocals), Dan Estrin (guitar), Chris Hesse (drums), and Jesse Charland (bass). Hoobastank’s most famous song is “The Reason,” released in 2003, which became a global phenomenon thanks to its emotional lyrics and catchy melody.
In addition to “The Reason,” Hoobastank is also known for other songs like “Crawling in the Dark” and “Running Away.” The band has a distinctive alternative rock style, combining rock elements with strong melodies and deep lyrics.
The Script, on the other hand, is a rock band from Dublin, Ireland, formed in 2001. The band consists of Danny O’Donoghue as the lead vocalist, pianist, keyboardist, and rhythm guitarist, with Glen Power on drums, percussion, and background vocals.
Mark Sheehan, the former lead guitarist and one of the band’s founders, passed away in 2023. In 2024, Benjamin Sargeant joined as the bassist and background vocalist, having been a touring musician with the band since 2007. Ben Weaver also joined as the new lead guitarist, replacing Mark Sheehan.
