Sinemaku Pictures hosted the Festival of “Mati Rasa” Celebration X Sinemaku Day 2025 on January 19, 2025, at Pulau Satu, Senayan Park, Jakarta.
The event was enlivened by performances from various renowned musicians, including Sal Priadi, Romantic Echoes, Pesta Band, Oom Leo Berkaraoke, and Nadin Amizah.
Additionally, the music festival featured a special performance by Midnight Serenade, a band consisting of Iqbaal Ramadhan, Devano Danendra, Dul Jaelani, and Randy Dhanista, who are part of the film Perayaan Mati Rasa.
This festival not only showcased musical performances but also served as a platform for announcing Sinemaku Pictures’ latest works in 2025.
Sinemaku Pictures is a production house founded on October 15, 2019, by Umay Shahab and Prilly Latuconsina. The production house began its first project in 2020 by producing a feature film titled Kukira Kau Rumah.
After the success of Kukira Kau Rumah, Sinemaku Pictures continued to create works in the Indonesian film industry, such as Ketika Berhenti di Sini (2023), Bolehkah Sekali Saja Ku Menangis (2024), Temurun (2024), and one of their latest works in 2025, Perayaan Mati Rasa, which will be released in theaters on January 29, 2025.
Synopsis of the Film Perayaan Mati Rasa (Celebration of Numbness)
Perayaan Mati Rasa tells the story of a family, featuring siblings Ian Antono (Iqbaal Ramadhan) and Uta Antono (Umay Shahab), who face challenges after one of their parents passes away.
The older brother (Ian Antono), who is a member of a band, is expected to be perfect. He has high expectations for achieving his dreams, which causes Ian to spend little time with his family. Moreover, he is constantly compared to his younger sibling, who seems to be more successful. Ian’s burden becomes heavier when he loses his parents, and he struggles to stay strong, burying all his emotions until he becomes numb.
Besides Iqbaal Ramadhan and Umay Shahab, the film also stars Randy Danistha, Devano Danendra, Dul Jaelani, Unique Priscilla, Dwi Sasono, Lukman Sardi, Sadha Triyudha, and Priscilla Jamail.
