Starting with the Soundcheck Session

The artist, whose real name is Kwon Jung Yeol, began the 2024 10CM Asia Tour <10CM Closer to You> in Jakarta with a soundcheck session. Starting precisely at 4:30 PM WIB, 10CM performed three songs.
“Hello everyone, this is the soundcheck. I’m feeling great, had a good sleep, and have eaten. It’s a perfect day,” said 10CM, greeted by loud cheers from the audience.
“The songs I’m performing in the soundcheck won’t be played during the concert later. These are prepared specially for you,” he added.
The soundcheck went smoothly. Although brief, the moment became memorable for the Cat 2 ticket holders, as they were the only section allowed to participate in the rehearsal.

Jakarta as the Closing of the Asia Tour

After the soundcheck, the main concert began at 6:15 PM WIB.
10CM immediately showed off his guitar skills, opening with Gradation. The performance continued with Do You Think of Me?.
“Welcome, everyone. I’m so happy. I was here before for a music festival, but now I can greet all of you through a solo concert. Thank you so much for coming today,” said 10CM.
“And also, importantly, this is the final show of the 10CM Asia Tour. So, I feel relieved and a bit sad. The last show is always the best, so I’ve prepared a lot of songs. I hope you’ll enjoy them,” he added.

Performing Memorable K-Drama OST

Known for contributing to many drama soundtracks, 10CM naturally performed his popular OSTs.
“You all watch dramas, right? So, I’m sure you’ll love it when I sing an OST,” he said.
He then performed the OST Drawer from the drama Our Beloved Summer.
Not stopping there, 10CM also sang other songs such as Where is Dream (Start-Up), My Eyes (Goblin), But It’s Destiny (Crash Landing on You), and Spring Snow (Lovely Runner).
“Today, there will be many OSTs from K-Dramas,” said 10CM, making the fans ecstatic.

Covering an Indonesian Song and Performing His Own Hits

Interestingly, aside from singing OSTs, 10CM also performed a stunning cover of Cinta Luar Biasa by Andmesh.
Of course, he also performed his own original songs such as Stalker, Sleepless in Jakarta, My Ultimate First Love, Just 10 Centimeters, Pet, Love In The Milky Way Cafe, and many more.

10CM Will Return to Jakarta

At the end of the performance, 10CM expressed how happy he was to perform in Indonesia. He deeply thanked the fans who attended.
“Thank you. If I get the chance to come again, I’ll bring more songs,” he said.
The event closed with a photo session and hi-touch for fans who received this benefit.

Before the concert, 10CM attended a program on a private Indonesian TV station.
Ahead of the concert, 10CM expressed his nervousness and excitement about performing in front of his fans in Indonesia.
“I’m going to hold a solo concert in Jakarta, so I’m really nervous,” said Kwon Jung Yeol during the program.
Interestingly, Kwon Jung Yeol also expressed his fondness for dangdut music.
He mentioned that he often listens to Lesti Kejora’s song Sekali Seumur Hidup.
“I enjoy listening to dangdut. I like hearing Lesti’s song ‘Sekali Seumur Hidup,'” he added.
On this occasion, Kwon even sang a part of the song.

Despite coming from a different music genre, he enjoys listening to various local songs.

Kwon Jung Yeol was surprised to learn that he has many fans in Indonesia.
“Actually, I didn’t expect my name to be this well-known in Indonesia, and that I would have so many fans,” he said.
He’s happy that many people love his songs, especially during the previous festival.

In the interview, Kwon also explained his dedication to creating songs, including his contribution to writing K-Drama OST.
“Almost all the songs I write are for dramas, but for the OSTs, I also write them with others,” he said.
