On December 17, three members of the boy group SEVENTEEN — S.COUPS, WONWOO, and VERNON — were chosen to be Brand Ambassadors for popular Indonesian snack brands, Chitato (potato chips) and Indomilk (milk). The three members also held a meet and greet titled Wave Here on December 17, 2024, at Beach City International Stadium in North Jakarta.

In a press conference before the event, Harry Wibowo, the Head of Marketing Snack Food IFM, explained why they chose only these three members instead of all 13 members of SEVENTEEN.

“Each member of SEVENTEEN brings unique values and qualities. We are very excited to collaborate with these three to showcase what we stand for: S.COUPS leadership, WONWOO authenticity, and VERNON creativity, which he often channels into SEVENTEEN’s music,” Harry said.

The meet and greet began at 3:00 PM WIB and was filled with energy. S.COUPS expressed his honor in being chosen as a Brand Ambassador for these products.
“I am very happy to meet Fans today. I hope we can meet again in the future,” said S.COUPS. “I’m always grateful for the incredible enthusiasm of fans whenever we visit here,” added WONWOO. VERNON also shared what he missed about Indonesia. “I definitely can’t forget Carats and nasi goreng (fried rice),” said Vernon.
During the event, the three SEVENTEEN members created many memorable moments for Indonesian Carats, from simulating a local Indonesian snack shop to dancing with fans.

Here are some highlights of the fun moments from S.COUPS, WONWOO, and VERNON meet and greet in Indonesia:
- Simulating a Warung (Indonesian Snack Stall) with “Oppa K-Lontong”
As Brand Ambassadors for Indomilk and Chitato, the three members were challenged to promote the products as if they were running an Indonesian snack stall. With a stall installation named “Oppa K-Lontong,” they promoted the products in Indonesian.
S.COUPS said, “Halo semua, Chitato Mie Goreng rasanya nagih, senagih saya melihatmu. Yakin gamau beli?” (“Hello everyone, Chitato Fried Noodle flavor is addictive, just like how I feel about seeing you. Are you sure you don’t want to buy it?”).
WONWOO followed with, “Beli Indomilk banana, gratis senyum WONWOO, terima kasih” (“Buy Indomilk banana, free Wonwoo smile, thank you”).
VERNON added, “Chitato Chijeu gurih kejunya bikin gak bisa berhenti, cobain yu” (“Chitato Cheddar flavor, the cheese is so tasty you can’t stop, try it”) and “Indomilk rasa goguma, diborong yuk semua” (“Indomilk sweet potato flavor, let’s buy it all”).
WONWOO complimented VERNON Indonesian skills, “Out of the three of us (S.COUPS, WONWOO, and VERNON), VERNON speaks Indonesian the best!”
- WONWOO and Vernon Admit They Love Indonesian Fried Rice
During the event, WONWOO and VERNON shared that they both love Indonesian fried rice. Having visited Indonesia several times, they’ve had the chance to try local dishes, including fried rice.
“I love nasi goreng (fried rice), especially when I add Chitato,” said WOONWOO.
“I also love nasi goreng,” Vernon added.
- Playing “Red Light Green Light”
For Fans who are familiar with the “GOING SEVENTEEN” series on YouTube, the “Red Light Green Light” game is a fun and popular challenge. In this game, participants must reach the finish line without being seen moving by the “game guards.” If they are spotted moving, they lose.
During this event, VERNON and WONWOO had to race to the finish line while collecting as many snack products as they could. Many funny moments occurred, such as VERNON collecting more products than the basket could hold, causing Fans to laugh and cheer on the members to finish the game.
- Guess the Song and Dance Along
“Guess the Song” was one of the most anticipated activities because fans could watch the members compete while dancing to the songs they correctly guessed. Some of SEVENTEEN songs, like “LALALI,” “LOVE, MONEY, FAME,” and “Water,” were featured in the game.
Not only did the members guess the songs, but they also danced with lucky Fans from the audience when they answered correctly. Vernon emerged as the winner of this game after successfully guessing several songs.
- Exchanging Messages with Fans
Another memorable moment at the “Wave Here on 17 Dec Meet and Greet” was the exchange of messages between the members and their fans. The three members read and acted out messages sent by Fans, including birthday greetings.

One Fans requested a birthday shout-out, and WONWOO responded with, “Happy birthday!” All three members then joined in, saying, “Happy birthday!” in unison.
The event was filled with joy and laughter, leaving a lasting impression on the fans who attended, and it was clear how much S.COUPS, VERNON, and WONWOO valued their Indonesian fans.
