Jakarta, January 22, 2025 — After the success of the horror film Lembayung, which garnered over 1.6 million viewers in cinemas last year, Tiger Wong Entertainment has now announced its latest film project titled Sukma. This drama-thriller-horror genre film will once again be produced and directed by Baim Wong, marking his second directorial effort. Baim Wong also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Ratih Kumala.

The film stars Luna Maya, Christine Hakim, Oka Antara, Fedi Nuril, Anna Jobling, Kimberly Ryder, Asri Welas, Amanda Soekasah, Maeeva Amin, Giovanni Tobing, Krishna Keitaro, Kiano Tiger Wong, and Dazelin Rey. Sukma will follow the story of Arini and her family, who move to a small town to start a new life. However, their relocation turns disastrous after they discover an ancient mirror in a secret attic. Disturbing shadows of people inside the mirror begin haunting the family. Bu Sri, the polite housekeeper, holds the key to the mysterious events. Little by little, it will be revealed that the old woman desires Arini’s body to regain her youth, by swapping souls through the mirror.
“I hope Sukma will be a horror-thriller film that stands out from the current horror scene in Indonesia. I have dedicated my thoughts, energy, and time to ensure this film will be an international-quality thriller/horror film that can also be enjoyed by Indonesian audiences,” said Baim Wong, the producer, co-writer, and director of Sukma.

“Sukma is the latest ambition from Baim Wong through the story he co-wrote with Ratih Kumala. I’m thrilled to be trusted with the role of Arini and to work with such amazing talents. The production team also has outstanding expertise in their respective fields, so I can’t wait to start filming. I hope the result resonates with Indonesian audiences,” said Luna Maya, the lead actress of Sukma.
Meanwhile, Christine Hakim, who portrays Bu Sri, shared that Baim Wong is one of the talented directors who can craft a captivating and refreshing horror story.
