SHInee’s Key loves Indonesian Food

SHINee’s Key admitted that he was fascinated by Indonesian satay and crackers during his visit to Jakarta for his solo concert “2024 Keyland On: And On in Jakarta” at The Kasablanka Hall, Jakarta, on Saturday night.

After singing a number of songs, such as “Hologram,”  “BAD LOVE,”  and “CoolAs,”  Key took a short break while greeting his fans, Shawol. In that session, Key Shinee shared his experience upon arriving in Indonesia and his preparations before the concert began.

“So, yesterday I really just arrived in Indonesia, and unfortunately I haven’t had time to go (visit interesting places in Indonesia),” said Key.

Nevertheless, Key had the opportunity to taste typical Indonesian dishes. He was fascinated by the taste of satay and crackers that were served to him when he arrived in Indonesia.

“I tried satay; it was delicious! It tasted similar to food in Korea, so I liked tasting it!” said the group’s lead vocalist.

“Oh, I also like the food on the side of the satay; what’s it called?” Key asked Shawol.

Shawol unanimously answered, “Crackers! Crackers!”.

Key replied, “What? Crackers? Oh yeah, I love crackers then!”.

Besides being fascinated with satay and crackers, Key also talked about many things with Shawol at the concert. Moreover, Key was grateful to be able to entertain Indonesian Shawol again after a long time and received a warm welcome from the Shawol who attended his concert.

That night, Key performed a series of his hit songs, especially for Indonesian Shawol, including “Killer,”  “Helium,”  and others.
The idol with the real name Kim Ki Bum said that this was his first solo concert held in Indonesia and hoped that the fans could enjoy it. “This is my first solo concert in Indonesia. Thank you for coming, and I hope you can enjoy this event,” said Key.

Key admitted that he was amazed by the enthusiasm he got from Lil Freaks.

He considered the energy of Indonesian fans to be extraordinary. Especially when he sang his five songs. “I think I want to sing a lot of times. Everything is good, because this is a place for us to continue singing, and please, until the end, (the spirit) remains like this,” Key said, and he was greeted with screams from fans.

Since his first appearance on stage, Key, who is also a member of the boy group SHINee, has repeatedly expressed his longing for the fans. He said several times, “Jakarta, I miss you,” in between his performances.

The SHINee rapper and lead dancer also surprised his fans by saying a number of words in Indonesian. The regional languages Key chose were Javanese and Sundanese. “Hello, piye kabare? Hello, kumaha damang?” Kibum said it eloquently.

Not stopping there, the singer, who is also a fashion designer, also demonstrated his ability to pronounce various sentences in Indonesian. He admitted that he tried his best to interact with his fans in Indonesia.

She also expressed her gratitude to Shawol and Lil Freaks for attending her first solo concert. He hopes that the fans will enjoy his performance.

“This is my first solo concert in Indonesia. Thank you for coming, and I hope you can enjoy this event,” said Key. At this concert, Key performed a number of his popular solo songs.

Starting from “Good & Great,”  “Hologram,”  “Gasoline,” and “Yellow Tape,”  to his latest Japanese songs, “Fresh” and “Tongue Tied”.
