Jakarta, September 11, 2025 – Spotify is celebrating a major milestone: RADAR, its global program dedicated to supporting emerging talent, has now supported more than 1,000 artists since its launch five years ago.
Since its debut in 2020, RADAR has backed over 1,000 artists across more than 180 countries, helping to shape a new generation of global music. RADAR has proven to be a launchpad for the future of music, consistently elevating new talent and equipping them with the tools they need to build sustainable careers. This achievement is both a celebration of artists who have grown through the program and a recognition of the potential talent that will shape the future of music.
Collectively, RADAR artists around the world have been streamed over 338 billion times and have sparked over 6.5 billion discoveries on Spotify. Songs by RADAR artists have been added more than 1.5 million times to Spotify-owned playlists globally, and have appeared in over 1.1 billion user-generated playlists since joining the program.
“Reaching this milestone in just five years shows that the desire to discover new music is truly universal. Listeners everywhere want to be part of an artist’s journey from the beginning, and RADAR has been the bridge between that curiosity and real opportunities for artists,” said Sulinna Ong, Global Head of Music Editorial at Spotify. “RADAR is here to support artists at those critical early moments when attention can grow into something much bigger. That’s what makes music discovery so exciting — it’s not just about finding talent, but helping it grow.”
RADAR highlights a diverse range of new artists from various genres and regions. Several former RADAR artists — including Doechii, Peso Pluma, ENHYPEN, Tems, Tyla, PinkPantheress, and Zach Bryan — have since achieved major success and reached new fan communities around the world through Spotify.
In Indonesia, RADAR has featured rising artists such as Bernadya, Rony Parulian, Anggi Marito, Tiara Andini, Aziz Hedra, Nadhif Basalamah, White Chorus, Idgitaf, and Salma Salsabil. These RADAR Indonesia artists have seen remarkable growth in the months following their inclusion in the program.
Beyond growth, RADAR Indonesia artists have also achieved impressive success. For example, Bernadya took home the titles of Top Artist, Top Song, and Top Album Indonesia at Wrapped Live 2024. Rony Parulian’s latest album ‘Rahasia Pertama’ debuted at #4 on the Global Top 10 Albums Debut on May 7, 2025. Meanwhile, in 2024, Aziz Hedra topped the Global Viral 50 chart with his hit song ‘Somebody’s Pleasure’.
