The longing to return to music has led Audy Item to make a comeback in early 2025 by introducing her new single titled Akhir Kisah Kita.
The song was written by Dea Bamba and Yai Item, and it was initially released by the Jakarta-based pop-rock band Goodtimes in their 2020 EP Hello!
Audy mentioned that her comeback plan had been in the works for a long time. Wanting to produce something of high quality, she chose to take a more careful approach instead of rushing the process.
“The intention has been there for a long time, but we’ve been waiting, because I didn’t want to rush it and let the process be hasty,” Audy said during a press conference for the single release in Senayan, South Jakarta, on Friday, February 28.
“For this comeback, I don’t want it to be just ordinary. I’ve thought about the packaging, from the music video to the production of the song itself, and I was involved in it all. I didn’t want to just sing, I also chose the song,” she continued.
Audy’s return to the music scene is motivated by her yearning to experience the creative atmosphere again. She wants to offer something fresh for her Indonesian music fans.
“I miss the atmosphere of creating in the studio, meeting with musicians, and of course, expressing something through music for my fans,” she said.
