Rangga & Cinta, a remake of the 2002 film Ada Apa dengan Cinta?, directed by Riri Riza and produced by Mira Lesmana, Nicholas Saputra, and Toto Prasetyanto, will feature fresh faces, most of whom will make their debut on the big screen.

“To find them, our journey was quite long. The audition process was done in several stages over approximately six months, from April to September last year, and over 700 teenagers auditioned. The selection process was very strict because, in addition to evaluating their acting skills, we also had to see how well they fit the characters they would play, and how well they would match with each other to form a solid ensemble cast,” added Mira Lesmana, one of the writers and producers of the film.

Co-producer Nicholas Saputra expressed his appreciation for the cast of Rangga & Cinta, who are currently undergoing the filming process, saying, “Their dedication to preparing for the shooting is incredible. Not only are they multitalented, but they also have a high level of commitment. I am very happy to be involved and watch the young actors and crew collaborate to bring back a teenage drama that has become a national film icon and is dear to the hearts of the people.”

In addition to the cast, the partners who have supported the production of this film were also introduced, including Surya Citra Media, Trinity Entertainment Network, Jagartha, Dwidaya Amadeo Gemintang, Barunson E&A, Imajinari, Melyana Tjahyadikarta, Niken Rachmad, and Ignatius Andy. Mira expressed her gratitude to the partners, saying, “I’m so happy that so many parties want to celebrate the rebirth of Ada Apa dengan Cinta? through Rangga & Cinta. I am also very grateful for their trust and confidence in our decision to choose fresh faces as the main cast in this film.”

Also joining as an important part of the Rangga & Cinta production are well-known songwriters and music arrangers, Melly Goeslaw and Anto Hoed.
