Film Senin Harga Naik to Premiere During Lebaran 2026 in Indonesian Cinemas

Jakarta, March 3, 2026 — After the success of the romantic drama Komang during Lebaran 2025, which became a blockbuster with 3,002,303 viewers, the production house Starvision, now celebrating 31 years in the film industry, is collaborating with Legacy Pictures to present its latest drama film for Lebaran: Senin Harga Naik.

This heartfelt film tells the story of a mother and daughter who have different definitions of happiness, set within a home and a family bakery that has been passed down through generations. The movie aims to warm audiences’ hearts and remind Indonesian families about the importance of togetherness during the Lebaran celebration.

Senin Harga Naik stars Nadya Arina, Meriam Bellina, Andri Mashadi, Nayla Purnama, Givina, Adam Xavier, Brandon Salim, Nungki Kusumastuti, Hamish Daud, Aci Resti, Arif Alfiansyah, Razan Zu, Rianti Cartwright, Restu Sinaga, Annisa Hertami, Dayu Wijanto, Reynavenzka, Hifdzi Khoir, Devy Anastasia, Lolox, Inyok, Violeta Ekanjani, Chika Waode, Maryam Lin, Jordan Omar, Mikhaila Zeline, Ashraf Dirgham, and many others.

The story follows Mutia (Nadya Arina), who once left home to pursue her own path in life. However, she is forced to return when her career becomes entangled with the fate of her family’s legendary bakery.

Mutia, who works for a property company, is assigned to negotiate with the owner of Mercusuar Bakery—which happens to be her own mother, Retno (Meriam Bellina)—to persuade her to sell the property for redevelopment. In these moments, emotional twists unfold, leading to heartfelt and tear-jerking scenes.

Produced by Chand Parwez Servia and directed by Dinna Jasanti, with a screenplay written by Rino Sarjono, Senin Harga Naik promises to be one of the most touching Lebaran films this year. The movie invites audiences to rediscover the true meaning of family and reminds us that apologies are not only meant to come from children to parents—but sometimes the other way around as well.

“Time sometimes makes moments like celebrating Lebaran with family become rare and precious. In an era where it’s increasingly difficult for us to gather and stay close, it’s important to find something that encourages conversation and reconnection within families. Lebaran is a meaningful moment to present our best films. It’s when we reunite with our loved ones, and we hope Senin Harga Naik can warm hearts and encourage people to forgive one another,” said producer Chand Parwez Servia.

He added that Lebaran has always been a sacred moment of togetherness—from childhood through college years—yet work responsibilities often make it harder to meet and apologize directly to family members.

“Through this film, I hope Lebaran 2026 helps us rediscover the values that make family so important and remind us why we want to embrace them,” he said.

For director Dinna Jasanti, who previously collaborated with Starvision and Chand Parwez Servia on the warm family drama Dua Hati Biru, the story of Senin Harga Naik feels personally meaningful.

She hopes the film will become a special gift for Indonesian families celebrating Lebaran.

“This is a very warm film. We hope it becomes a special gift from all of us to audiences celebrating Lebaran—a warm embrace for everyone,” Dinna said.

The film presents multiple layers of drama through its characters, including conflicts between a daughter and her mother, tensions between a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, and the stubbornness of both parents and children when defending what they believe in.

Senin Harga Naik also brings viewers into the interior of an iconic bakery that serves as the film’s central setting. Dinna carefully portrays the bakery as a place filled with sentimental value that drives the emotions and motivations of each character.

For Nadya Arina, portraying Mutia—a daughter who clashes with her mother—became a reflection on how communication with parents evolves over time.

“As we grow older, the way we communicate with our parents changes. Misunderstandings often happen, and sometimes we feel like we’re different from them. This film taught me to better understand and love my family,” she said.

Nadya added that the film contains scenes that will make audiences laugh, cry, and perhaps inspire them to apologize to someone they may have been in conflict with.

“Lebaran is the perfect moment to say sorry—just like what Mutia and her mother do in Senin Harga Naik,” she explained.

Meanwhile, Meriam Bellina, who plays Retno—a single mother of three who often argues with Mutia and her daughter-in-law—said the film highlights the importance of presence and togetherness with loved ones.

“Sometimes we only realize what we had after we lose it. In this film, I play a single mother who simply wants to stay close to her children. But her children want to grow and pursue their own lives. Sometimes she becomes strict in raising them, which unintentionally pushes them away. But there is always a chance to fix everything. Watching Senin Harga Naik together with family during Lebaran can be a way to rediscover the warmth of family,” Meriam said.

Audiences are invited to watch Senin Harga Naik with their families in theaters to celebrate Lebaran. The film premieres March 18 in cinemas across Indonesia.
