“Tunggu Aku Sukses Nanti”: A Film That Embraces the Tired Hearts of Life’s Fighters, Coming to Cinemas on Eid 2026

Jakarta, March 9, 2026This Eid holiday season, Indonesian audiences will be welcomed by a heartfelt story that resonates with many. RAPI Films presents Tunggu Aku Sukses Nanti, the latest film from director Naya Anindita and writer Evelyn Afnilia. Scheduled to premiere in Indonesian cinemas during Eid 2026, the film tells a deeply relatable story about those who carry the weight of being the backbone of their families.

Through the perspective of the main character, Arga, the film portrays the reality faced by many people who work tirelessly for their families while silently carrying emotional and financial burdens.

A Story About Life’s Fighters

In this film, Ardit Erwandha takes on the role of Arga—a young man who becomes the primary provider for his family while striving to achieve his dreams and earn recognition within his extended family.

The role marks Ardit’s first time leading a drama film, and he delivers a layered performance that captures the exhaustion, frustration, determination, and vulnerability of someone fighting to build a better future.

This is a story about Arga, the backbone of his family, who struggles to fulfill his family’s dreams and break away from their dependence on the extended family. For me, this film feels very personal and relatable,” said director Naya Anindita.

A Family Story Many Indonesians Know

Producer Sunil Samtani explained that the film also highlights social realities often found in Indonesian families—especially during the festive gatherings of Eid.

This film is light yet touching. Audiences will feel close to the story, and when they leave the cinema, they’ll feel warm inside,” he said.

The film captures the lively and sometimes chaotic atmosphere of family gatherings: relatives asking classic questions about careers and success, subtle comparisons between family members, and moments of reflection that push Arga to question his own journey.

An Emotional Journey for the Lead Actor

For Ardit Erwandha, playing Arga was more than just acting—it was a personal learning experience.

I learned a lot from Arga. In the past, whenever I felt sad I would pretend to be strong. Now I’m learning to validate those emotions. If you’re tired, it’s okay to admit that you’re tired,” Ardit shared.

He even admitted that he cried after completing the film because he felt he had overcome a challenge he had long been afraid of.

I hope those who are fighting through life and carrying the responsibility of their families can be honest with themselves—that their exhaustion and anger are valid. I hope Tunggu Aku Sukses Nanti can embrace you,” he added.
