Kicked Off by Hoobastank and “Kidnapping” a Married Woman on Stage, The Script Successfully Holds Concert in Jakarta

Jakarta – The Irish band, The Script, successfully held their concert in Jakarta.

From the opening act by Hoobastank to “kidnapping” a married woman onto the stage, The Script made their “The Script Satellites World Tour Live In Jakarta” concert unforgettable.

The concert, promoted by Color Live Asia, took place at ICE BSD City, Tangerang, on Friday (February 14, 2025), with Boy William as the opening MC.

The event began with American band Hoobastank performing their hit songs such as Crawling In The Dark, Running Away, and The Reason.

Then, The Script took the stage, starting with drummer Glen Power on percussion to kick off You Won’t Feel a Thing.

Without wasting any time, lead vocalist Danny O’Donoghue continued with The Script’s hits like Superheroes, Rain, Both Ways, and Six Degrees of Separation.

The band’s anthem The Man Who Can’t Be Moved was performed alongside the fans, followed by The Last Time.

Danny greeted the fans and dedicated the song If You Could See Me Now to their late band member, Mark Sheehan, who passed away in 2023.

“It’s great to be back, but Mark couldn’t be with us tonight. This song is for Mark,” said Danny.

The Script also performed a new song from their Satellites album, Inside Out.

Danny was surprised when a fan showed a sign saying she had left her husband on Valentine’s Day to attend the concert. Without hesitation, Danny invited the fan on stage to sing Never Seen Anything Quite Like You. With Danny playing the piano, they performed the song, and the fan celebrated her decision to be there, feeling it was the right one.

The concert continued with Before the Worst, Nothing, No Good in Goodbye, Paint the Town Green, and For the First Time.

Another song from their latest album, Home Is Where the Hurt Is, was also performed by The Script.

Danny expressed how moved he was by the warm reception from the audience.

He even took the opportunity to step down from the stage and mingle with the fans.

The concert ended with Breakeven and Hall of Fame.
