Bryan Adams Jakarta Concert

Bryan Adams Successfully Brings Nostalgic Memories to His Jakarta Concert

After nearly nine years of waiting, Bryan Adams finally returned to greet his fans in Jakarta. The legendary Canadian musician delivered a night full of nostalgia at Beach City International Stadium (BCIS) Ancol, Jakarta, on Tuesday evening, February 3, 2026.

Promoted by Rajawali Indonesia, the concert was part of Bryan Adams’ Asian tour titled Roll The Punches. Jakarta was one of the cities included in the tour, following performances in Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore. Before the main act took the stage, the crowd was first warmed up by two well-known Indonesian musicians, Ari Lasso and Rony Parulian, who served as opening acts.

Precisely at 9:15 PM, the giant screen displaying visuals from the Roll The Punches album suddenly came to life. Cheers erupted as Bryan Adams unexpectedly appeared at the front right side of the stage, right in the middle of the festival audience area. Without any introduction, he kicked off the show with “Can’t Stop This Thing We Started,” followed by “Straight From the Heart,” both performed with an acoustic guitar that instantly created an intimate atmosphere.

After greeting fans up close, Bryan Adams moved to the main stage and switched to playing bass. A string of rock songs that were still easy on the ears—such as “Kick Ass,” “Run to You,” and “Somebody”—had the entire stadium dancing and singing along. The energy never dropped, as the audience seemed unwilling to miss a single moment.

The tempo slowed slightly when Bryan Adams performed “Do I Have to Say Words?” before picking up again with “Roll It with the Punches.” During this song, giant boxing-glove-shaped balloons floated above the crowd, adding a fun visual element to the performance. Between songs, the musician, born on November 5, 1959, finally took a moment to greet the Jakarta audience with his signature smile.

One of the most emotional moments of the night came during “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You.” Thousands of voices joined together in chorus, creating a touching scene that proved the song’s timeless appeal across generations. Despite being in his early sixties, Bryan Adams showed no signs of slowing down, delivering an energetic performance with barely any breaks between songs.

As the concert neared its end, Bryan Adams introduced the band members who accompanied him that night: Keith Scott (guitar), Gary Breit (keyboards), and Pat Steward (drums). The upbeat track “Back to You” set the stage before the stadium once again erupted during the iconic hit “Summer of ’69,” sung enthusiastically by the crowd from start to finish.

Following “Cut Like a Knife,” the concert concluded on a warm and intimate note with an acoustic performance of “All for Love”—a sweet ending to a night filled with memories.

“Thank you, Jakarta. You are the best audience in Indonesia. We will definitely come back again,” Bryan Adams said, earning a long round of applause from fans who were reluctant to leave.

That night, Bryan Adams delivered more than just a concert—he brought back memories, reminding everyone that his classic songs are still alive and continue to be cherished to this day.
