After a long wait, Super Junior’s youngest member, Kyuhyun, finally held a concert titled “2024 Kyuhyun Asia Tour Restart” at Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta, on Saturday (5/18/2024). This is his first solo concert in the country after debuting as a solo singer in 2014.
The concert, which was promoted by CK Star Entertainment Indonesia, started at exactly 19.00 WIB. Since the beginning, it has been enlivened by the compact singing of ELF and Kyupiter, who are waiting for their idols to appear on stage.
Appearing in a black and white suit complete with a black tie, Kyuhyun’s handsome face managed to mesmerize the entire audience in attendance. Kyuhyun then started his solo concert by performing a new song titled the same as his Asian tour, “Restart”, as well as the title of his latest album, released in early 2024.
The audience rumbled when The Story Behind was played. The crowd roared even more when Kyuhyun took the stage with Dreaming.
“How are you? My name is Kyuhyun; it’s been two months from Seoul to Jakarta; this is the last one. I feel goosebumps, so I will perform as much as possible,” Kyuhyun said.
Kyuhyun then invited the audience to flow through some of his songs with a melodious rhythm. Million Pieces, Slow Slowly, then he took turns performing.
“Just now it seems like I’m halu, hearing everyone sing along; even though the song is in Korean, I’m halu, right?” Kyuhyun said, teasing the audience, who sang along.
“But I’m sorry the next song will be slower; this song is the best song for sleeping,” he added, who then performed Was It Love and Aewol-ri in turn.
Kyuhyun admitted that he was happy that many audience members sang along to his Korean songs. Afterward, Kyuhyun performed a song from Mahalini titled Sisa Rasa.
“Honestly, because this is the first time I’m afraid of memorizing it wrong, I’m a little nervous,” said Kyuhyun, who then performed the Indonesian song smoothly.
He then performed Still Our Love Continue on stage. After that, Kyuhyun showed off his musical skills. The audience seemed amazed to see Kyuhyun’s musical action on stage.
Kyuhyun then went off stage and returned in a more casual costume. He then made the audience rumble as he circled the concert venue while performing the songs Confession is Not Flashy and Time With You.
Not a few spectators were happy to see their idols up close. Kyuhyun really surprised the audience with his action.
“Many who stare back at me make me want to cry. My face is better on the monitor or the original,” said Kyuhyun.
Afterward, Kyuhyun invited the audience to prance through faster-tempo songs. Flying Deep In The Night and Together were then performed in turn.
Kyuhyun did not miss Super Junior songs that night. Devil, Blacksuit, and Sorry Sorry were performed without pause.
After that, Kyuhyun lowered the tempo through his song, At Gwanghwamun. Day Star and Moving On were also performed that night.
Until finally, Kyuhyun closed the 2024 Kyuhyun Asia Tour Restart with the songs The Story Behind, Restart, and Rainbow. He said he was happy to be able to close his tour series in Jakarta.
