South Korean vocal powerhouse Ailee greeted her Indonesian fans once again through a special concert titled “Ailee: Ascend – Live in Jakarta.” The memorable night was held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Jakarta Concert Hall, with the show starting at around 7:30 PM local time.
The concert opened with Ailee dazzling the crowd in a sleek black outfit, delivering a powerful performance of her hit song “Room Shaker.” Her strong vocals and high-energy choreography instantly lit up the stage. Following the performance, she warmly greeted the audience:“Apa kabar, Jakarta? Nama saya Ailee, sudah lama tidak bertemu. Ini juga solo concert pertama saya di Jakarta, senang sekali bisa bertemu kalian. Saya mempersiapkan banyak hal untuk malam ini.”
(“How are you, Jakarta? My name is Ailee, it’s been a while. This is also my first solo concert in Jakarta, and I’m so happy to meet you. I’ve prepared a lot for tonight.”)
The crowd erupted in cheers, showing just how much they had missed her.
Ailee then continued with a series of captivating performances, including her fan-favorite tracks “Illusion,” “Murder On The Dance Floor,” and “525,” combining powerful vocals with sensual dance moves that drew loud applause from the audience.
While speaking on stage, the singer—born on May 30, 1989—reminisced about her first performance in Jakarta nearly 11 years ago as a guest star at Eru’s concert.“I still remember my first time performing in Jakarta as a guest at Eru’s concert. I’m so happy I finally get to be back here.”
Later in the show, a fan shouted “I love you” in Korean. Ailee smiled and responded—this time, in Indonesian.
To everyone’s delight, she had taken the time to learn a few popular Indonesian phrases before the concert. Laughing, she said:“Aku cinta kamu! Is that right? I checked on Google Translate before this! And… ‘terima kasih’—did I say it correctly?”
The crowd responded enthusiastically, touched by her effort to connect on a deeper level.
Previously, in an official statement received by Liputan6 Showbiz (June 13, 2025), Ailee expressed how much closer she felt to her Indonesian fans after receiving such a warm welcome during K‑EXPO Indonesia 2024.
