Maliq & D’Essentials Bring Java Jazz 2026 Day 3 to a Memorable Close

Sundays at music festivals usually carry a slightly exhausted energy. People are tired, their feet hurt, and they are already thinking about Monday morning. Day 3 of the myBCA International Java Jazz Festival 2026 completely ignored that rule. The crowd pouring into the NICE venue in PIK 2 was visibly larger than the previous two days, packing the food areas and stage corridors right from the early afternoon.

Moving the 21-year-old festival to a new location was a major test, but the heavy Sunday traffic proved the wider layout worked. People had space to move, even when multiple big-name acts were playing simultaneously.

But everyone knew exactly where they needed to be by 10:15 PM.

The myBCA stage was at absolute capacity for the final performance of the weekend: Maliq & D’Essentials. Angga, Indah, and the rest of the band didn’t treat this like a standard jazz festival gig. They treated it like a massive house party. The audience fed off that energy immediately. The band ran through a setlist that felt like a curated playlist of their fans’ favorites, blurring the line between the stage and the crowd.

When they rolled into tracks like “Senja Teduh Pelita,” the entire hall turned into a choir. They even took live requests, which led to a massive sing-along of “Himalaya.” It was loud, joyous, and chaotic in the best way possible. By the time they dropped “Setapak Sriwedari” to close out the night, there was hardly anyone standing still. Fans were dancing in the aisles, completely ignoring how tired they were.

Ending a massive three-day event is tough, but Maliq & D’Essentials knew exactly what the assignment was. They sent thousands of people home with ringing ears and a massive high, proving that the myBCA International Java Jazz Festival 2026 successfully pulled off its ambitious new chapter.
