The screenplay for the film was written by Cassandra Massardi. “The film Pantaskah Aku Berhijab is a drama romance genre film with a light religious nuance,” said director Hadrah Daeng Ratu in an official statement on Wednesday (June 26). “Through the characters of Sofi and Aqsa, we want to invite the audience to explore the twists and turns of life, the process of forgiving the past, and how we can make peace with our destiny,” she explained.

In addition to Bryan Domani and Nadya Arina, Pantaskah Aku Berhijab also stars Nadzira Shafa, Dhini Aminarti, Indra Birowo, Tike Priyatna, Cakrawala Airawan, Hifdzi Khoir, Azkya Mahira, and Najla. This film also marks the acting debut of Nadzira Shafa, the popular author of the novel 172 Days.

Pantaskah Aku Berhijab tells the story of a young girl named Sofi (played by Nadya Arina) who has been hurt in both love and life. However, she has a male friend, Aqsa (Bryan Domani), who is always by her side through both joy and sorrow, helping Sofi rediscover her life and make peace with her fate.

Bryan Domani, who has worked with Hadrah Daeng Ratu several times, expressed his enthusiasm for their latest collaboration. According to Bryan, this film gave him a new experience with the character of Aqsa that he played.

“From the character of Aqsa, I learned a lot about how to be a true support system. It’s certainly a pleasure to collaborate again with Ms. Hadrah. She’s a director who gives actors the space to explore their characters, providing clear direction and creating a comfortable shooting atmosphere,” Bryan said.

Pantaskah Aku Berhijab is the first production from Narasi Semesta, in collaboration with A&7 Films, Legacy Pictures, and Unlimited Production.
