Jakarta, April 7, 2025 — Indonesian animated film “JUMBO”, presented by Visinema Studios, has made history. In just 7 days since its premiere, “JUMBO” officially surpassed 1 million viewers as of Sunday, April 6, 2025, making it the highest-grossing Indonesian animated film of all time.
This record set by “JUMBO” has surpassed the previous milestone of “Si Juki The Movie: Panitia Hari Akhir” (2017), which gathered 642,312 viewers and had remained unchallenged for eight years. “JUMBO” is now a benchmark for future Indonesian animated films and will open even greater opportunities for the domestic animation industry.
This spectacular achievement reflects the incredible enthusiasm of the local audience for the heartwarming story, stunning visuals, and the positive values embedded in the film. “JUMBO” is a collaborative work created by over 420 Indonesian creators over the past five years. This animated film is designed to embrace us, our children, and the child within us.
“This number is not just about viewers; it is a reflection of love, hope, and the trust that the public has in the works of the nation’s creators. Seeing such a warm response from Indonesian audiences makes every challenge we faced over the past five years feel so meaningful. Thank you to every family, every child, and every person who has made ‘JUMBO’ a part of their cherished memories with family—not just as entertainment. This is not the end, but the beginning of ‘JUMBO’’s journey to more hearts, in more places, even internationally,” said Anggia Kharisma, Producer of “JUMBO”.
