The series “Sekotengs,” adapted from the Webtoon comic of the same name, will premiere on September 26, 2024, on the streaming service Prime Video. This production by Falcon Pictures consists of six episodes, airing every Thursday.
“Sekotengs” follows the journey of four handsome men aspiring to become doctors: Raka (Adipati Dolken), Ezra (Abidzar Al-Ghifari), Vino (Giorgino Abraham), and Dean (Arbani Yasiz).
“‘Sekotengs’ not only presents an engaging story about the struggle to achieve dreams as doctors, but also offers fresh comedy that is relatable to everyday life,” said Falcon Pictures Producer Frederica.
The series will showcase the challenges faced by the characters during their medical education, including funny incidents and absurd experiences.
The story is adapted from the comic “Sekotengs,” which was first released in 2017 and has been read by over 76 million readers.
Actor Adipati Dolken expressed that acting in a drama project adapted from a comic or novel is more challenging, but he strives to ensure that viewers enjoy the series “Sekotengs.”
“I think it’s harder to portray a character from an adaptation because readers definitely have their own perceptions of the characters in the novel,” Adipati said.
In addition to Adipati Dolken, Giorgino Abraham, Abidzar Al-Ghifari, and Arbani Yasiz, the cast also includes Zee (formerly of JKT48), Ira Wibowo, Alvin Adam, Ferry Salim, Piet Pagau, and Sarah Sechan in “Sekotengs.”
