The 118-minute film was actually worked on since 2022 and completed filming on April 22, 2023. CJ ENM Movie has also shared a number of teaser photos and trailers that make the audience’s enthusiasm even higher.
Some of the actors starring in this film include Hwang Jung Min, Jung Hae In, Oh Dal Soo, Jang Yun Ju, Oh Dae Hwan, and Kim Si Hoo. Although it has not been confirmed, Ahn Bo Hyun is also said to be involved in this film as a villain.

So, what is the story of I, The Executioner like? Here’s the synopsis:

As mentioned earlier, I, The Executioner is a sequel to Veteran that follows the story of a detective named Seo Do Cheol. In the first movie, he had to face a chaebol or descendant of a conglomerate known for sadism.
Seo Do Cheol is ambitious to catch the chaebol who turns out to be the mastermind behind a series of criminal acts. Wrapped in comedy, Veteran highlights how complicated police efforts are in capturing a figure from the upper class.

Unlike the prequel, I, The Executioner brings a darker feel. The film continues Seo Do Cheol’s journey in solving criminal cases, this time in the form of a serial murder that has shocked South Korea.

Seo Do Cheol must investigate the connection between the murder of five women and the suicide of a 16-year-old boy. He does not handle this case alone, but is accompanied by the youngest member of the police team who is still inexperienced.

Will they succeed in uncovering the case? Stay tuned for the full story in your favorite theaters on September 25, 2024.
