Comic 8 Revolution Looking for New Actors, Auditions Held in 8 Big Cities

Production house Falcon Pictures is preparing to hold auditions to find new talents to star in the movie Comic 8 Revolution. Indeed, the film Comic 8 had boomed in 2014 and was followed by several subsequent films. The audition is planned to be held from August 23 to September 21, 2024 in eight major cities in Indonesia. The cities are Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Makassar, Bali, Medan, Palembang, and Jakarta.

“We are looking for regeneration to play the next Comic 8 movie. We want to find a new generation, new talents. Later there will be in 8 cities,” Frederica said at a press conference in the Duren Tiga area, South Jakarta, Thursday (8/7/2024). The audition mechanism will select 40 people from eight cities who will be brought to Jakarta. After that, the audition will again be reduced to eight people who will star in the movie Comic 8 Revolution.

“From eight cities there are 40 contestants who will be invited to Jakarta, selected 20 contestants will be quarantined and selected to be eight people who will play it,” said Frederica. Meanwhile, Indra Warkop, Cak Lontong and Oki Rengga will be the main judges in this audition. Indro Warkop and Cak Lontong have a few comments for the people who will take part in this event. “What we judge is how the stand-up that we judge has a good total act. And that is useful for acting. It’s just that there are some techniques that must be owned by friends who participate,” said Indro Warkop.

“We will choose comics who have extraordinary abilities. I hope comedy is energizing. The point is that we form something, hopefully it will fulfill Falcon’s needs,” said Cak Lontong. The audition will also be hosted by four famous hosts, namely Jirayut, Halda, Arafah and Astry Novita (Ovie). “Of course, I’m really excited and happy to be involved in a good event like this. Hopefully it will produce new comics that will decorate the Indonesian entertainment world,” said Jirayut.
