Opening With an Indonesian Pantun

During the fan meeting session, Zhou Yiran sparked loud cheers as he delivered a playful Indonesian pantun:“Senang sekali ketemu kalian. Mie goreng mie kuah, I love you muah muah,” he said, causing the audience to erupt in excitement.

He then surprised fans by singing Henry Lau’s “It’s You”, creating an emotional atmosphere. He also joined a fun mini-game challenge involving a viral Indonesian TikTok dance, encouraging fans to move along with him.

A Heartwarming Surprise: Birthday Video & Cake

Toward the end of the event, the tables turned—it was Zhou Yiran’s turn to be surprised. Fans prepared a heartfelt video montage followed by a birthday cake to celebrate his upcoming birthday on November 22.“I’m truly grateful to Indonesian fans. I honestly didn’t know about this segment, so I was really surprised,” he said.

Moved by the Warmest Welcome Since Arrival

During the press conference, Yiran shared how touched he felt from the moment he landed in Indonesia.“This is my first time in Indonesia, and I was shocked to see how many fans were waiting for me at the airport. The warmth was incredible,” he said.

Tasting Onde-onde to Cendol: Zhou Yiran Falls in Love With Indonesian Snacks

Another highlight of the evening was Zhou Yiran sampling various Indonesian snacks introduced by host Edric Tjandra. His candid reactions quickly became a fan favorite.

Onde-onde — Score: 8

The first snack he tried was onde-onde.“Eight. But this tastes like it will make me gain weight,” he joked.

Klepon — Score: 9

Next was klepon, which he enjoyed even more.“Nine. I love sweet things, and I really like the coconut aroma. Plus, since it’s not fried, the calories aren’t too high,” he said.

Sate — Score: 10

His ultimate favorite was sate.“I’ll give it a ten. It’s a bit cold so the texture is harder, but if it were warm, I think it would be even more delicious. I like it,” he said, smiling.

He even shared some of the sate with the fans in the front row.

Cendol — Refills Included

Lastly, Yiran tried cendol—and loved it enough to drink more.“This is delicious. At first it tasted strange because it wasn’t mixed well, but the more I drink it, the better it gets,” he said.

New Nicknames: “Kakak Yiran” and “Kak Meng”

Both Zhou Yiran and actress Meng Ziyi—who attended as a special guest—received affectionate new nicknames from Indonesian fans.

Meng Ziyi shared that she was delighted to be called “Kak Meng,” an endearing local nickname she found special.

Zhou Yiran was equally amused to hear fans calling him “Kakak Yiran.”“I feel very special. The warmth from Indonesian fans is truly heartwarming,” he said.
