Great news for fans of One Piece (Live Action)! The adventure of the Straw Hat Pirates will continue in the highly anticipated second season titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line. The series is set to premiere on March 10, 2026 on Netflix, with all eight episodes released simultaneously on the same day.
Interestingly, the first two episodes will also receive theatrical screenings in more than 200 cinemas across the United States, Canada, and Japan on the same date. This gives fans a rare chance to experience the world of One Piece on the big screen.
Before diving into the next chapter of Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew’s journey, here are some interesting facts about One Piece Live-Action Season 2.

1. Adapts Four Iconic Story Arcs
The second season will adapt four major arcs from the manga created by Eiichiro Oda. Viewers will follow the Straw Hat Pirates as they travel through several legendary locations such as Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whisky Peak, and Drum Island.
These arcs are an important part of the early journey toward the Grand Line and feature many memorable moments that fans have been eagerly waiting to see in live-action form.
2. Many New Characters Will Appear
Season two will also introduce several new characters who play key roles in the story. Among the most anticipated are Tony Tony Chopper, Nefertari Vivi, and Nico Robin.
A total of 33 new cast members join the series this season. Some of them include Mikaela Hoover as the voice of Chopper, Joe Manganiello as Crocodile (Mr. 0), and Lera Abova as Nico Robin.
Additionally, Katey Sagal will portray Dr. Kureha, while Charithra Chandran, known from Bridgerton, takes on the role of Miss Wednesday.
3. A Showrunner Change During Production
Behind the scenes, the second season also experienced an important change. Co-showrunner Matt Owens stepped down in March 2025 due to health reasons.
Production was then continued by Joe Tracz, who previously worked on the adaptation of Percy Jackson and the Olympians for Disney+. He eventually led the project through to completion.
4. A Long Production Process
Filming for One Piece Live-Action Season 2 began on June 24, 2024, in Cape Town, South Africa, and wrapped on December 15, 2024.
One factor that gives fans confidence in the adaptation is the involvement of the series creator, Eiichiro Oda, who personally visited the filming location and gave his approval to the production.
5. Season 3 Has Already Been Confirmed
Even more exciting, Netflix has already given the green light for One Piece Live-Action Season 3—even before Season 2 premieres.
The announcement was made in August 2025, and production began in November 2025. The third season is expected to continue the story into the famous Arabasta Saga, one of the most beloved story arcs in the One Piece universe.

With a larger storyline, iconic new characters, and a massive production scale, the second season is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated series releases of the year.
