Pradikta Wicaksono, also known as Dikta, shares his role in the film ‘Aku Jati Aku Asperger.’ He plays a character named Daru, who is the older brother of Jati, a person with Asperger’s syndrome.
Portraying an older brother of a sibling with special needs, he recalls moments spent accompanying his deaf sibling. “Since I was a child, I’ve been fortunate to interact with friends who have special needs, such as Asperger’s, autism, and hearing impairments,” Dikta said in Thamrin, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (October 17, 2024). “Because my sibling is deaf, I often accompany him. I have the advantage of having often accompanied my sibling, so to delve deeper, I just need to recall those experiences,” he explained.
Dikta expresses admiration for people with abilities like the character Jati, as he believes they possess many unique qualities. “I admire them because they have something we don’t have,” Dikta stated.
For your information, the film ‘Aku Jati Aku Asperger’ tells an inspirational story about Jati, a teenager with Asperger’s syndrome. He struggles to find his identity amidst various social challenges. Although it’s not easy, Jati continues to show his true self and discovers his genuine identity.
The film ‘Aku Jati Aku Asperger’ is scheduled to be released in theaters starting October 31, 2024.
