‘Cinta Tak Seindah Drama Korea’ Becomes Imajirani’s Most Expensive Film

Production house Imajirani is preparing a new project after the film Kaka Boss. Their latest film, Cinta Tak Seindah Drama Korea (CTSDK), is directed by Meira Anastasia. Producer Ernest Prakasa stated that CTSDK is the most expensive film they have ever produced.

“This is definitely our most expensive film to date,” Ernest said at a press conference in South Jakarta on Thursday (October 17, 2024). “We envisioned this film as a true Korean experience since we read the script. It wouldn’t make sense to set up tents in Blok M; it would be obvious,” he added. Along with Dipa Andika, Ernest is confident that Cinta Tak Seindah Drama Korea will incur higher production costs than previous films.

One factor contributing to this is that Imajirani needs to shoot in Korea. However, Ernest Prakasa and Dipa Andika believe that filming in Korea is essential to the script and will enhance the story. “Dipa and I have discussed this; it’s likely to be quite costly, but we believe in the script, so the need is justified,” said Ernest.

Cinta Tak Seindah Drama Korea tells the story of Dea, who finds herself in a love triangle with Bimo and Julian. The film will feature Lutesha, Jerome Kurnia, Ganindra Bimo, Anya Geraldine, Dea Panendra, and many others. Cinta Tak Seindah Drama Korea is set to be released in theaters on December 5, 2024.
