JAKARTA – The Linkin Park tribute band, Hybrid Theory, has officially announced that they will not be joining the lineup at the inaugural Bloom Fest, set to take place on February 22 at Kiara Artha Park in Bandung.
In an official statement on the Bloom Fest social media channels, Hybrid Theory cited health issues as the reason for their cancellation.
“With a heavy heart, we announce that we will not be performing at Bloom Festival in Indonesia on February 22 due to health reasons,” the statement read.
“We apologize for any disappointment this may cause and want to assure you that we will do everything we can to return as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding and support.”
Despite the cancellation of Hybrid Theory’s performance, Bloom Fest will proceed as planned, featuring performances by Agnez Mo, Parade Hujan, JKT 48, Salma Salsabila, and more.
The festival, organized in collaboration with Playlist Live Festival, promises to deliver a new and immersive experience for concertgoers. Kiara Artha Park was chosen as the main venue due to its expansive green space and modern facilities, which are ideal for large-scale concert experiences. The park, covering 2.9 hectares and featuring a man-made lake and fountains, will provide a refreshing atmosphere for attendees.
One of the highlights of the event is the interactive wristbands, which will light up in sync with the music, enhancing the visual experience of the festival.
“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Playlist Live Festival organizers. Through Bloom Fest, we aim to provide a more interactive, immersive, and unforgettable music festival experience for all attendees,” said Andrew Chu, Director of Bloom Media.
“With international artists and the innovative interactive wristbands, we’re confident this festival will be one of the highlights of 2025,” he added.
In addition to the musical performances, Bloom Fest will offer exciting activities such as a food market, interactive art installations, and various entertainment zones to create a more complete festival experience.
