At his Day and Night Fan-Con event, Choi Jin Hyuk performed a song from the soundtrack of the drama he starred in, Gu Family Book. Indonesian fans finally got the moment they had been waiting for as Choi Jin Hyuk held his Fan-Con titled Day and Night at Gandaria City Hall in South Jakarta on Saturday, November 23, 2024. The event began promptly at 7:20 PM WIB.
“How are you? Hi everyone, my name is Choi Jin Hyuk. This is my first time in Jakarta. Thank you all for coming today, it’s an honor to meet all of you,” he said.
After singing one of the songs from the Gu Family Book OST, Choi Jin Hyuk greeted the fans and introduced himself. He also mentioned, “I’ve worked hard to make sure you enjoy this event. The song I just sang is from the Gu Family Book OST, which I sang myself in 2013.”
In the following segment, Choi Jin Hyuk faced several challenges, including trying traditional Indonesian foods like tempe chips and durian. When both dishes were presented, he first smelled the aroma of the durian.
He seemed surprised by the scent of durian, making him hesitant to try it. However, not wanting to disappoint his fans, he decided to try the tempe chips first.
“It doesn’t really taste like anything? The texture is like potato chips, right?” he said, somewhat confused in describing the flavor.
Afterward, he tried the durian and was pleasantly surprised to find that he actually liked the taste. It turns out that the flavor of durian wasn’t as bad as he had imagined.
“It’s like mango, the taste is actually okay, maybe the smell makes some people dislike it,” he shared.
The event was sponsored by Annyeong Entertainment in collaboration with PAS Entertainment to organize Choi Jin Hyuk’s first Fan-Con in Indonesia. Throughout his career, Choi Jin Hyuk has starred in many well-known series, including The Last Empress, Emergency Couple, and Tunnel. His latest work, Miss Night and Day, is available on Netflix.
