South Korean rock band FT ISLAND has just held their first concert titled “2024 FT ISLAND LIVE ‘HEY DAY’ IN JAKARTA” on Saturday (16/3/2024). The concert, which was held at Gandaria City Hall, was promoted by Three Angles Production.
During the concert, the members admitted that they were surprised by the voices of Indonesian Primadonna (as FT ISLAND fans are called) who sang loudly yesterday. FT ISLAND’s vocalist, Lee Hong-ki had to pause several times in the middle of his singing to hear the singing of Indonesian fans.
He even turned his mic to the audience to lead the singing. Hong-ki did not seem to stay silent. He took his cell phone and captured the moment. Not only Lee Hong-ki, bassist Jae-jin also expressed surprise at the voices of the Indonesian Primadonna.
“I’m happy if you do this. So our concert has part one and part two. But it doesn’t feel like it’s already part two, part one is over quickly. I feel like I want to start all over again.” “The problem is that when I perform, I cover both ears, so I don’t hear what the fans are saying. But this penetrated. I hope we can meet again,” said Jae-jin.
Min-hwan also seemed to share his first impression of meeting Indonesian fans. He admitted that he could feel the immense energy of the fans which made him feel hot. Although it was the first time, the members admitted that they had often seen requests from Indonesian fans asking them to come.
“I know there have been many comments on sns asking to come to Indonesia. Every time there is a tour announcement, there are always many requests from Jakarta. So finally we came,” said Hong-ki.
Until the end of the show, the members often promised to visit Jakarta again to hold a concert. The concert which was promoted by Three Angels Production lasted 2 hours and FT ISLAND performed their old songs along with his latest songs.
The fans’ wait for approximately 17 years was paid off and all poured out in this concert, how do you still fail to move on and the song is still on your cellphone playlist?
