JAKARTA — Fans of Japanese actor Mackenyu have another reason to get excited about Indonesia Comic Con (ICC) 2026.

The actor, widely recognized for playing Roronoa Zoro in Netflix’s live-action One Piece, is set to appear as one of the international guests at this year’s event. Mackenyu is scheduled to meet Indonesian fans on Sunday, October 4, 2026, as part of Indonesia Comic Con’s 10th-anniversary celebration.

The 2026 edition of ICC will take place on October 3–4 at Hall Expo and Arena JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.

Meet Mackenyu Up Close

Mackenyu’s appearance will give fans more than just a chance to see the actor on stage.

According to Indonesia Comic Con Project Manager Lulu Anwar, attendees will have opportunities to meet Mackenyu in person through photo sessions and autograph sessions.

“Visitors will be able to meet Mackenyu directly and have the opportunity to take photos with him and get his autograph,” Lulu said during a press conference at @america, Pacific Place Mall, Jakarta, on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

For fans hoping to take home a special memory from the event, ICC has also prepared a dedicated photo opportunity.

A Photo Op Token is priced at Rp1.25 million. With the token, Mackenyu will hold the fan’s smartphone and take a selfie together, offering fans a chance to capture a personal moment with the One Piece star.

And There Could Be Another Surprise

While Mackenyu’s appearance has already been officially announced, Indonesia Comic Con organizers appear to have something else in store.

Lulu revealed that there is another surprise connected to Mackenyu’s appearance, although the organizers have not yet disclosed what it will be.

“We also still have one more surprise. Just wait for it,” Lulu said.

The mystery announcement has naturally added another layer of anticipation to Mackenyu’s appearance at ICC 2026. For now, fans will have to wait for the organizers to reveal exactly what the additional activity will be.
