Jakarta – Friday, June 6, 2025 – Anime, manga, and J-pop culture fans, get ready! The ninth edition of Anime Festival Asia Indonesia (AFAID25), the largest Anime, Comic, and Game (ACG) event in Southeast Asia, officially opens today at Jakarta Convention Center Hall A and runs through Sunday, June 8, 2025.
Since its launch in 2008, AFA has held over 30 events across six cities, featuring 520+ guests and attracting more than 2.3 million passionate fans. This year, AFAID25 transforms JCC into a vibrant hub of Japanese culture, featuring cosplay showcases, manga exhibitions, e-sports tournaments, and live anisong concerts from Japan.
The festival officially opened at 11:00 AM (WIB), welcoming fans to its main exhibition zone with 100+ booths from top Japanese companies, animation studios, and both local and international creators. Attendees can shop for exclusive merchandise, cosplay gear, and stunning fan art.
Shaw Chin, Managing Director of SOZO, shared:

- Akiba Town – A bustling exhibition floor with leading Japanese brands and rising creators
- Day Stage – Live talk shows and exclusive screenings with top guests
- Night Concerts – Stunning live performances by J-pop and anisong stars straight from Japan
