Global creators with a combined 400 million followers gather in one place as WCG 2025
Festival unveils full program!
December 8th, 2025 – WCG (World Cyber Games) has announced key details of the “WCG
2025 Festival,” which will be held from December 12 to 14 at JIEXPO in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, WCG is operating under the slogan “The Biggest
Creator Festival in the World,” positioning itself as a participatory, multi-experience festival
where global creators and fans come together. Since its launch in 2000, WCG has been
recognized as the “Olympics of esports,” achieving numerous milestones including a Guinness
World Record entry. Following a successful festival last year at ICE BSD, Indonesia, this year’s
event returns with even greater scale and enriched content to attract global fandom.
■ A massive showdown of global creators through ‘Creator Rumble’
On the festival’s opening day, “Creator Rumble Indonesia” will feature 64 Indonesian local
creators forming 16 teams. Through WCG’s proprietary board-game–style content, “Creator
Rumble,” they will compete in teamwork and strategy, offering local fans a unique entertainment
experience. This will be followed by a two-day “Creator Rumble Global,” featuring the top three
teams from Indonesia’s qualifiers and six local creator teams. Adding to the lineup are creator
teams representing Korea, Thailand, India, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Jordan, Iraq, Tunisia,
and Vietnam—bringing together 16 teams from 10 countries to compete on the global stage.
This year’s festival includes prominent creators with strong local influence, such as Dean KT,
alongside leading creators from the Philippines, Thailand, Bangladesh, and India, the latter
boasting a combined subscriber count of more than 10 million. Representing Korea is the
“TesterHoon Team” (TesterHoon, Jo Jaewon, GaeninPot, Thal), winners of the National
Showdown Korea held at the Busan Esports Arena in August. Altogether, the global creators
participating in the festival hold a combined follower base of approximately 400 million,
underscoring WCG’s global impact. This gathering of creators symbolizes the expansion of
WCG’s “creator-centric global festival” model.
Festival content will be streamed not only through WCG’s official channels, but also
simultaneously through each participating creator’s personal platforms, allowing fans to enjoy
the festival vividly from multiple creator perspectives.
■ From K-POP to cosplay… expanded local-focused content through
collaboration with Motion IME
This year’s festival significantly enhances its program through collaboration with Motion IME
Festival, Indonesia’s leading pop-culture event. Motion IME is widely known as a central hub for
local subculture—including K-POP, cosplay, and anime—and this year, K-POP group STAYC
joins as a special artist to further elevate the festival atmosphere.
Additional on-site programs include an FC Mobile tournament; a showcase, demo, and signing
session for the webtoon IP–based The God of High School; Indonesia’s largest cosplay contest
held across two days; the Call of Duty Mobile Showdown featuring KOLs, office workers, and
amateur players; and an eFootball Cup hosted by leading Indonesian creator Windah Basudara.
Visitors can also participate in various activities and win prizes through the on-site gamification
program, “WCG Arcadia,” which includes prediction games, mini-games, and more.
■ WCG 2025 Festival tickets offered at up to 40% off
To make the festival more accessible for Indonesian fans, WCG offers bundled ticket options
with discounts of up to 40%. The more companions you bring, the greater the
discount—allowing visitors to enjoy diverse creator programs at an affordable price. All tickets
are available through BBO.
■ Strong partnerships formed with the Jakarta Metropolitan Government
and Smilegate
WCG is collaborating with the Jakarta Metropolitan Government (DKI Jakarta) to host the
festival as a key partner event of the “Jakarta 500th Anniversary Project.” This partnership will
enable administrative support and special city tour programs, showcasing tourism experiences
connected with the city.
Additionally, founding sponsor Smilegate’s global social platform STOVE joins as the official
community partner. Through the “WCG STOVE Lounge,” fans participated in a pre-event voting
program to select mission challenges for the Korean representative team (TesterHoon Team).
The winning missions will be produced into content and revealed during the festival.
KwangJun Song, CEO of Bigpicture Interactive, organizer of WCG, stated,
“WCG has been a symbolic brand that has grown alongside the evolution of esports over the
past 25 years. The WCG 2025 Festival will serve as a major milestone that blends WCG’s
global brand value with today’s creator-driven culture, presenting a new direction for gaming
culture to fans worldwide.”
